I am---anyone else? It rained ice here(northern Kentucky, about 20 miles from
Cincinnati, OH) Tuesday night but I did manage to make it to work yesterday
morning. It snowed the whole time I was there and they let me leave early---it
took me about a half hour to make what is normally a 10 minute drive(less if
there's not much traffic) and I was scared to death the whole time. I slid a
few times and fish tailed really bad on one turn but we made it home fine.
Brian, my fiance' couldn't even get out of his parking space at 2 in the
afternoon to go to work so he had to call off. It snowed and sleeted all night
long and I got a call this morning saying we weren't going to have to work today
because no one could get there so I got to sleep in. Brian was off today but he
still can't get his car out and neither can anyone else who lives here. We took
Jordan sledding and that was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, Brian has to be at
work at 6:30 tomorrow morning andwe don't know if he's going to make it in or if
we are going to be able to do any of the things we had planned for Christmas.
There's supposed to be a tow truck coming to help some people get the cars out
of our parking lot and take them to the grocery store up the street so people
will be able to walk up there and leave but they called for the truck hours ago
and he hasn't gotten here yet. We are at least snug here and have plenty of
food(and a grocery store within walking distance and a video store too---we all
bundled up and tromped up there last night to rent some movies! Anyone else
snowed in?
