That guy was Jim French, Zach's mom's boyfriend if I remember
correctly. He built all (or most at least) of those instruments
himself. He's a pretty crazy guy. From what I've heard, he used to be
a rather accomplished jazz horn player but I guess he got tired of
that scene or something. I'm pretty sure there's some kind of
3mp/solo Jim French split 7" or something like that in existence.
