Came across this on the ideal copy website

http://idealcopy.american-data.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Co\
de=881626501719

Limited to only 300 copies.

Just my 2 cents worth but we have the reissues going on at vinyl180, now these
and im sure something will come through the Beggars Archive site too. - IMHO its
a bit too much...anyone else agree?

It's got to be the same thing, surely? I can't imagine that there'd be that
limited a release - I could be wrong.

There's nothing planned Cocteau-wise from 4AD, there's too many other projects
going on!

Former Stellar members Martin and Ronan are back as The Sleepless and have just
released their first release under that name, a four song EP called Noise Of
Life.

Cover art: http://i45.tinypic.com/1z2g4dz.jpg

Stellar, as you all know, was one of the bands on 4AD sub-label Detox Artifacts.

The band writes:

Our first EP: songs about the dusty corners of life, the spark that keeps you
going

Our debut EP, 'noise of life', was released on 14 May. It's available on itunes,
emusic, Tunetribe and Tesco Digital. More to follow...

Recorded mainly at home and also at Alaska Studios, London, it features four
songs: If There's Love in My Heart I Can't Find It, This Life, I Feel A Darkness
Coming On, Destined For Heaven.

You can hear If There's Love In My Heart I Can't Find It on our myspace page.

Many thanks to Loz at FatAsFunk Mastering.

A limited edition CD will be available soon.

Hope you enjoy tuning into the noise of life.

Best wishes

taken from the new Blonde Redhead album, a new track is available via their
official website, not heard it yet, as I'm sick of giving my email address to
hear things.

However, a blog linked to this

So I'm downloading it now. You can too.

I'm moving house this week, I really want rid of these. Postage costs only,
please email me offlist (I never check this Yahoo email, but will for the next
48 hours) if you're interested.

All (probably) unplayed. I can't remember what each one is - they're all in a
plain white sleeve, and white label. Most were sold via Mail Order back when I
did it, so I'd expect the majority of you to have them anyway.

Once we've moved, I'll be working my way through my 7" collection and removing
duplicates, and ones I've not played for ages, so will post any further 4AD
relevant ones.

I just stumbled upon a bunch of strange titles like:

- 4ad Albums : Wake, Doolittle, Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot
Feel, Surfer Rosa, 4ad, a Brief History of Love

- 4ad : 4ad, Elizabeth Fraser, Robin Guthrie, Simon Raymonde, Ivo Watts-Russell

- 4ad Artists; Pixies, Bauhaus, the The, the Breeders, Black Francis, Lush,
Cocteau Twins, Clan of Xymox, 4ad, Scott Walker, Kristin Hersh

There's even more and most are from around may 2010, but i've no idea if they're
worth getting nor who's responsible for these. Who can help?

There's also a Book regarding Pixies Songs. I really don't know what to

have made, when i started developing interest in record labels (and
musical genres). Nevertheless they seem to be real and 'in stock'.

Just have a look at the other titles of Books LLC and you'll see that it is all
complete bullshit.
This may sound harsh, but you must be quite dumb to take these titles serious in
the first place.

Hi 4ad-l,

I have started cleaning out older things, and have a couple of vintage 4AD
pieces that deserve to be in a better home. Thought they might find it here
instead of ebay. If interested, please contact me.

Mai Pen Rai: 4AD Compilation PROMO CD
PRO-CD-6055
Released: 1993

Comes in a translucent sleeve, along with a letter from 4AD explaining what is
on the disc and what the future releases will be.
In very good shape, though the paper letter is shows age a bit.

You can catch a photo of the set of items here:
http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/9971/img3355shot.jpg

$5 + $3 shipping (USD)

Garlands / Cocteau Twins
Vinyl album
CAD 211
Released: 1982

This is the original British release, and so it even displays the original 23
envelope logo on the backside. Vinyl is in mint shape; the sleeve is mostly
good, with a light water stain in the lower back corner, and slight creasing on
some corners.

$7 + $7 shipping (USD)
(shipping is higher due to the packaging needed to ship vinyl...)

Why only 50 copies fgs?! I understand that stuff like a handmade boxset may take
quite some effort, so i can live with such stuff being limited. But a simple
bonus CD could easily be made (AND sold) a few times more, couldn't it? Grmph.

Don't have it either, but regarding the samples on your link it seems to be just
a bunch of b/w snapshots from that Dublin gig. Has the similar taste as those
anti-official 4AD publications i inquired about recently ...

The 4AD link being that the first two singles (PART 01 and PART 02) were
manufactured by 4AD, though it was very low-key (there weren't many copies made,
and they're long-deleted now) - and dates back to the Ed & Chris era. Oh, and
it's David Minotaur Shock too.

There's a single track 'Fuel Up' on the 4AD YouTube so you can embed it, or link
to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Afs9TfLzUDc&feature=sub

And there's a widget for the video of this track too
Code available http://4ad.com/sessions/

With Beachcomber's Windowsill, Stornoway released one of the most assured and
impressive debuts of the year. Recorded in the beautiful environs of The Rotunda
in their native Oxford, this 4AD Session shows the band in a wonderful light.
The building they chose to perform in dates back to the 1960s when Vivien
Greene, Graham Greene's ex-wife, commissioned its build as an extension to her
own home to house her doll's house collection. It was open as a museum until
1998 when she auctioned the collection off.

Four songs:

Fuel Up
On The Rocks
Here Comes The Blackout
Watching Birds

Was going to be on 4AD, but isn't. Up on Amazon.com for preorder now...

I think the catalogue number that was assigned for it wont be used, but don't
quote me on that. The promos that were made don't bear a catalogue number, so I
have no idea which it was meant to be, if it's not already known.

Originally, it was going to be CAD3X14CD - but apparently it clashed with
Breeders Last Splash so it was moved to CAD3X31CD. I'm betting those two numbers
will remain vacant.

It's sad that it won't be on 4AD because it's Anni's most confident and
"produced" commercial sounding album yet. I love it so far!

Though it isn't on 4AD anymore, a song from the album, Crushing Limbs, did form
part of 4AD's 2010 download sampler from Amazon US (EAD3X29A).

That's actually incorrect. While potentially it *could* have clashed with Last
Splash, that wasn't the reason for the change.

The album will remain attached to the number it ended up on, however, the
earlier number may still be used (barcode clashes pending).

Hope that clears things up.
