Zagreb concert

Zagreb, 22nd February

A night before my HUGE exam, for which i've been
preparing since June.Exam was something similar to
taking a bar for lawyers in USA, but in my case it was
for architects. Was i thinking of not going to GVSB
gig?..:))
My heads is still in the mess due to fact I had the
exam and seeing GVSB even for the second time in my
life (unbelievable), so my apologies in advance for
writing an incoherent report.

Back to the night before.
audience: around 400 ppl: i was in the first row so I
can't really say what was happening behind me except
that i had to take care of not flying on the stage and
keeping my legs in one piece. (the result is: no skirt
for next 3 weeks because of the bruises).NEVER MIND.

I was happy to see Scott writing set lists just before
the set.
Eli was replaced by Enon's Rick Lee ( I think). I'm
not sure about the name but i know for sure he's Enon
guy.
so no luck to see Eli again but it was cool to see
Rick Lee for the third time in Zagreb. Hopefully he'll
be back with Enon. I spoke to him shortly after the
set, and he mentioned preparing the album tour for
June.
Back to set.
The opening one was x-rated car. after that Kill the
sex player. In my opinion it took the band about first
2 songs to really start rocking.I was somehow really
surprised and happy to hear Satin Down, which was
performed absolutely perfectly. When i think back, the
whole performance was full of energy and the band
showed again who's the master on the stage.

The whole set lasted for about hour and half ( I
think) and they had to stop in the midnight due to
club policy and stupid regulation. So in spite of the
fact that Sharkmeat was on the set list, we didn't
hear it (unfortunately!).

Funny thing was that the audience didn't shout titles
of the songs during the breaks between songs, what we
usually do. I was on the edge of shouting
Megattraction, but well, i didn't at the end. After all
i heard my favorite In like Flynn and many others that
i wanted to hear.

As for talking to the band afterwards, no I didn't. I
saw some friends/acquaintances of mine interviewing
Scott. Probably for some magazine. I'll try to get
hold of that so i'll post it here.Mr. Temple was busy
with merchandise (cool black T-shirts with red Venus
on the front and tour dates on the back side-So I have
a t-shirt with GVSB and Zagreb date-Wohoooo!!!!!). I
was thinking should I ask Alexis something,(my
favorite member) but he was packing drums and i was
way too much under the whole impression of the concert
and the fact that i saw them again ( I really thought
considering the location where I live that it will
happen once in my lifetime) and I wasn't able to ask
anything reasonable aside autograph....again:)

I'll attach the set list.

As for the audience....I'm not sure was it because of
very short notice about the concert taking place here,
and bad timing considering that February is a month
when students have exams (at least it was like that in
the time when i was studying), but I had a feeling
that lots of people weren't familiar too much with the
band's music (I made at least 10 people attending the
concert, who never really listened the band but were
familiar to the name and at least they knew me
freaking about the band in the last 10 years), but
when i spoke to them after the concert, they were all
excited and enjoyed it big time.

For the end: GVSB, thank you so so so so much for
coming to Zagreb and doing the show here.Do come
again, please!:)

By the way, i passed the exam yesterday.
Bye
Slavica
