Chicago, Chicago, New York, Chicago................................   Message List

Hey there!! I am returning from the grave, crawling out of my hole,
inching my way out of the DC underground and making my way to Chicago
for the 25th Anniversary Touch and Go block party!!! I saw that GVSB
was on the list and just simply could not miss it. Flights have been
booked, hotels have been secured, and block party tickets are on the
way!! Yah!!! Treating Chi-town like it needs to be treated. With
loud, loud music! Anyway, just popping an email out to those who are
making their way out to the windy city and to those who wish they
were. Look me up if your out there! The last time I caught GVSB was
on a road trip at the Grogg in Cleveland. They played an incredible
version of "Learned It". It's probably been one of my favorite songs
ever since. It was Alexis's birthday if I recall
correctly..............It's been way too long since then.....and then
there was that memorable jam session on a boat in the harbor of New
York!!! First time I'd heard Tweaker live!! Anyway, good to hear the
boys found an excuse to rip it up again!!! I guess we all will await
the actual set times that GVSB is playing. I actually have flights
out at 7pm on Sunday. That would really suck if GVSB comes on Sunday
late. Luck of the draw. One hell of a lineup for the Touch and Go
party, though. Should be incredible. Between Big Black, Didjits,
Uzeda, Shellac, Killdozer, Scratch Acid, etc., it is bound to be one
of the best. By the way, I heard about this Venus Lux London gig.
Wow, what I would have done to have caught that. Bar none, Venus Lux
is my all time favorite album.................and I continue
on..............So I know this is a GVSB site, but I have been
rippping up some of the most recent Bellini!!! Alexis is all over the
place creating some of the best music I've heard in awhile on drums.
Keep on rockin'................Anyone ever heard of this Asturias,
Spain band called Caniches? They have a great sound, but just can't
seem to find any of their material anywhere.....and I continue
on..............
