Dear all,
with a delay (i was and still kinda am on vacation, read this: no computer
around) and now i have like 5 minutes for 12213423 things to do at once so this
is going to be hectic:

Primavera Sound festival
-GVSB shared the stage with Blonde Redhead, Portastatic, Slint, Dirty Three, Ted
Leo....the rest is not worth mentioning
(among the other bands on other stages, there were Built To Spill, Sonic Youth,
Low, Modest Mouse, Melvins...)
-Eli and Johnny were missing (Johnny due to Akashic matters). Johnny was
replaced by Matthew Taylor from Bellini and Eli by Enon's John Schmersal. Quite
standard for Eli, i'd say, at least for European tour.
- In spite of only 2 original members, the whole show was absolutely great.
About an hour, no encores, little technical problems, but all in all....what can
I say but: i want more.

Set list, in no particular order, and probably not entirely correct:
In Like Flynn, Kill the Sex Player, Rockets are Red, Satin Down, Disco 666, The
Kinda Mzk U Like, Cruise Yourself, Let Me Come Back...etc.

I made some photos that I'll post in a week when i get back from my vacation.

2 shows should take place in summer time, NYC and LA. Don't know the dates.
Enjoy it.

ah, so no rome after all, then? how can italians ever improve their musical
taste if the cool bands always go to milan and turin (sometimes bologna) and
hardly ever venture south? ;-)

Totally, I had a subscriptopn in High School and actually looked forward to it.
where have
all the decent magazines gone? This also explains why having all my keepers
thrown out
bumms me so bad. And thank you for the heads up, i will check out the PP
articles for
sure!

Etan,
Unfortunately it's not. This was a really long, full feature and i have totally
scoured
bughouse for it in the past (I could be blind though, things happen). But i
appreciate the
response anyway!

Great pictures Karen. And now I'm really, really kicking myself for not making
the effort to get there.

I'm old, because this is making me super nostalgic for the days of multiple
GVSB shows in a year.

Nice to see Eli still rockin' the Freak*on*ica stickers. My last one finally
fell off the car a couple years ago.

Hey I'm sharing show shots on Yahoo photos

Has anyone heard if the show will be available on DVD, is T&G releasing a DVD of
the entire weekend shows?

I arrived Friday night while GVSB was setting up. I was up front, the one in the
"Ohio Girls Rock" shirt. I looked at the stage & the drum tech looked familiar.
Then it hit me, a long lost friend from high school, Matt. He toured in various
bands throughout the 90s & now has a drum shop in Chicago & drum tech for shows
in Chicago - what a small world!

What a treat to hear the announcer tell the crowd, GVSB would play Venus Lux in
its entiretly - oh my god!
Plus an encore of "Kill The Sexplayer" dedicated to Tim Taylor of Brainiac &
"Superfire"
Security was really tight all weekend, Matt tried to get me & friend backstage
several times, but no one was allowed unless you had a special wristband or
pass.

Saturday night there were so many people there - great meeting people from all
over
