Re: [AUTOreverse] [Fwd: Neo-Zine invitation to participate]

A couple of years back William Bennett of Whitehouse released as part of his "Extreme Music" series, "Extreme Music From Women". Cat Hope from perth was a contributor and went on the tour as well. It basicly refers to Noise, Black Metal, Digital Hardcore, anything like that. Usually Noise. It's traditionally a bloke's genre but there are a few women doing it that I'm aware of, apart from Cat Hope there's a Rosmary Malign who has a Power Electronics group called The Eugenics Council (pretty stupid politics as you would guess), there's also a project  called Fe-Mail who did a great Noise album "All Men Are Pigs", although they got a male guest contributor, Lasse Marhang whom I know little about. I seem to recall there was a project called Cancerous Material who where supposed to be "all female". But in any case, it's still a male perogative. Not that, in the case of Noise, it makes much of a difference.
