According some "gossip" I heard this weekend it seems like the
Gothenburg Opera is cancelling their planned 2005 I Capuleti ei
Montecchi, due to the fact that Katarina Karneus has been booked
elsewhere (probably Covent Garden).
If that is the only reason I can't help feeling that it should have
been possible to find another Romeo (Ernman, von Otter, Dike,
Hammarström, Dahlberg, Giotas, Vegh, just sticking to the swedes).
