I heartily agree with Colins' thoughts about Sunday evening at the Barbican. I really enjoyed it especially, most especially, Miahs' performance.

On Sunday I attended a performance of Handel's "Arianna in Creta " at the Barbican Centre, London, with Miah taking the part of Arianna.The part of Arianna exemplified Miah's ability to identify with her role in a strikingly sensitive and expressive way. I was a little dubious about Handel's operas before this excellent performance but soon found the opera to be "feet-tappingly good" and musically thrilling.
Miah sang superlatively throughout the opera, engaging with her Swedish compatriot, mezzo-soprano Kristina Hammarstrom in duets of heart-stopping beauty.
The opera is to be broadcast on September 24 , 2009 by BBC Radio Three as part of Radio Three's "Afternoon on 3" Handel Opera cycle.
