This digest focuses on all aspects of music from Africa and the African Diaspora, including both current popular African music as well as the important cultural drum and dance traditions from the continent. We also include all kinds of information about the various forms of African-influenced drumming around the world. Our members are performers, producers, ethnomusicologists, promoters, festival organizers, writers, and fans of African music all over the globe. We are a clearinghouse for all sorts of information related to African music; tour dates, music releases, how to contact performers, artists, dancers, instructors, clothing, merchandise made in Africa, etc.
