I am attempting to set up a central information point for jazz in the Albany, New York area. By signing up for this group, you will be able to receive emails in digest or individual format or just by checking them on line.

Just as importantly are the many other features that I wish to use. There is a calander so that we can post jazz events in our area. It allows photos so that we can put pictures of local musicians on the site. A link section will allow us to give links to other jazz sites, both local and around the world. The chat room can be used for small occassional get-togethers where we can discuss local jazz programming. The polls will allow us to get a sense of what our local jazz people are looking for.

I hope that you will sign up for this free group. Just doing something as simple as that can begin to help our local jazz scene. If you could forward any emails of people that you think may also be interested, I will send them an invitation. No one will ever be added to our email list unless they request it.

Right now our site, because it has just started, is pretty basic, but it will grow as will the live jazz that we will get to hear in more abundance over the next several months.
