December 2006: Alex wins the independent music site Shakenstir's SPECIAL AWARD FOR 2006
~
This group is dedicated to the British singer-songwriter Alex Parks. It is currently announcements-only, but will reopen for general discussion when Alex resumes her music career.

Alex's second album Honesty was released in October 2005. Co-written with producers and songwriters Greg Wells, John Reynolds, Peter-John Vettese and Judie Tzuke, the album was an original blend of folk pop, rock and chill out. Alex and her band then toured the UK with sell-out gigs to support the album, culminating in packed out gigs at Hall for Cornwall and Shepherd's Bush Empire in Feb 2006.
In the same month, Alex announced that she had parted company with Polydor, as neither side was happy with the relationship. Alex received several offers from independent labels, but declined them, and is now taking an extended break from music. Her fans believe strongly in her talent, and we will fully support her in any decisions she makes.

Besides the album Honesty, fans are recommended to seek out the distinctive B-side tracks Near Death Experience, Just Love and Black & White, which can be downloaded from 7 Digital.
