This trio is among the most virtuosic of the festival- all three members are
total virtuosos, and compliment each other greatly!

11pm: Howard Alden and Anat Cohen
Though Howard Alden and Anat Cohen need no introduction, Howard has won just
about every award in jazz, and Anat will be backing him on this gig on sax and
clarinet!

12am: Veveritse

they are full of great Balkan and gypsy brass tunes!!

11pm:Jason Anick and Jack Soref

the guitar center of the very talented gypsy jazz scene in Boston, MA!

12am: Open Stage- Artists choice jam session

Sorry you don't check this forum much.

I'm not a RSSer or Twitterer or myspacer so am not likely to notice updates
to myspace.

Downloaded the new album from CD Baby - instant gratification! :-)

The new album is FABULOUS! Fav track is "La Foule" - blows me away!
And "Ben's Waltz" is very touching. Was lucky enough to meet Ben and see
him play with Amerinouche.

For us lo-tech neo-geezers, here's a snapshot of the tour dates from myspace.

Boy, there's a lot to choose from!

Allin:
Thanks for letting everyone know.
Chris sure was a nice guy. When we were out in AZ for DFSW, Chris was
so nice and polite to everyone.
I have as you said in your post one of his prints hanging on the wall
of my home and I enjoy it a great deal.
I will miss him and this will especially be true should I ever have
the privilage to be out in AZ again. He got such a kick out of my
wanting to talk about his paintings and then right off in the same
breath almost, his opinion about rattlesnakes and how he catches and
eats them. For the record he was just pretty amused by my asking and
said he didn't mess with them.
Chris's passing is a real shame.
Be well Allin and thanks again for letting the GJ community know
about this.
We'll talk soon.

Hello,

I have sad news on the passing of Phoenix Az Jazz & Gypsy Jazz guitarist Chris
Alan Daniels.
Chris passed away Friday, July 11th in Phoenix surrounded by his family. Chris
had a short
and courageous battle w/ cancer. Many may not know of his contribution to GJ
because of his
low profile, not traveling or recording much, with the exception of him
performing at DFLA.
Chris is also known by many from his fine paintings including the Django '53 oil
print that
many have hanging in their homes and studio's. Chris was the most determined,
committed
guitarist I have have ever had the pleasure to be a friend and band mate with
for 8 years. I
will miss him and regret we had such a short time together as brothers...
Not only was he a fine skilled and talented musician and artist but a
philosopher and
mathematician that would challenge the sharpest of wit's...
Dunn, Collins, D'Angelico, Gibson, Gitane, and Yamaha guitars were graced by his
touch and
passion for music...

Latcho Drom Chris...

I'll miss you brother and value the time we had together on this planet...

Hey everyone.
I deleted that last one.
Sorry bout' that.
I want toi tell you how the recording is going.
We have recorded almost all of the songs we will be releasing and I'd
like to tell you about some of the highlights so far:
We have been having really pleasurable recording sessions. Thiongs
have been going very easy and laid back for the most part. We are
doing this all through Cakewalk Sonar7 and a MOTU 896HD interface.
The Sonar7 software is pretty amazing. It's allowing us to record
with some pretty wonderful results.
So far as songs go we recorded a very special piece called, "Sleep
Waltz". It is a piece that we are dedicating to Ben Wood, our former
bassist who left us all way too soon. It came out beautiful. Ben
always liked waltzs and he had a great ear for them. It's my favorite
cut of the CD personally.
We also recorded a song called "Awake" which is also a nice tune and
a real pleasure to play.
That is just a taste of what's coming.
Thank you all so much for your support of the group and putting up
with the spam.

We really love and appreciate all of you.

Best,

Hey all,

Hope everyone is having a good Holiday.

Ameranouche is entered in a contest on www.ourstage.com . The judging
is done by fans. We are in the top 20 now on the College Clash
contest.... We have been voted in over thousands of artists across
the globe. If we win, we will recieve $500 for recording our next
album and get to perform at several colleges across New England.

We could really use your vote for this contest. Here's what you have
to do to vote for us. Go to www.ourstage.com and register... (you
have to register for a profile to vote, but it is free) after you
have gone through the registration process, go to the Judge page
(there is a little icon in that says JUDGE... just click on that)

The website will redirect to the judge page... You will see two boxes
entitled "Stage" and "Channel." Set the Stage box to music, and set
the Channel box to "College Clash." This is important detail, because
there are many different contests to judge, and we are only in
the "College Clash."

Then just listen to all the songs and hopefully you will judge for
us... You will have to judge many times. It takes about a half hour
to go through the whole judging process because they battle each band
against eachother. Make sure you finish the whole process...
otherwise your votes won't count.

Also remember, this is only the Quarter finals... so if you have
time, check back next week and judge again.

We appreciate your support. Thanks so much for your help. Now get out
there and judge.

Remember... www.ourstage.com then Judge in the "College Clash"
category.

Cheers and Happy New Year,

Ryan Flaherty

National Lampoons Movie Soundtrack featuring original music from New
Hamphire's own Ameranouche

National Lampoon's will be releasing "Beachparty at the Threshold of
Hell" in theaters on October 19th, 2007. HOWEVER, the new trailer is
soon to premier on 2,300 movie screens throughout the US as well as
Television Spots. The trailer features two Ameranouche songs (that
were also used in the film).

Ameranouche is an acoustic Gypsy Jazz Trio based in southern New
Hampshire. The musicians are guitarist Richard Sheppard, Ryan
Flaherty and bassist Xar Adelberg.

Kevin Wheatley, co-director and starring actor of Beach Party at the
Threshold of Hell, came across Ameranouche while surfing on Myspace
music pages.

Three original songs from Ameranouche's debut album, "Homage A
Manouche," will be featured on the movies sound track. Guitarist and
front man Richard Sheppard composed the songs that will be featured.

The movie stars Kevin Wheatley, Jamie Bullock and Jane Seymour. The
movie is categorized as a political comedy/sci-fi. The plot is set in
the year 2097, two decades after the nuclear apocalypse that
annihilated the United States.

The Official website for the Movie is:

pull out all the stops."- Scott Bowles, USA TODAY

You can catch Ameranouche performing in Maine, New Hampshire, and
Vermont throughout the year. Thier calendar can be found online at

National Lampoons has brought many hit movies to the big screen,
including "Animal House" starring John Belushi and "Vacation"
starring Chevy Chase.

Friday, June 15 at 8 pm Tickets: $15 in advance and $18 at the gate

World-renowned guitar virtuoso Robin Nolan and his trio come to the
Mill Pond Center along with Ameranouche!!!, who completely blew away
the audience with their performance at the MPCA Theatre in April, for a
very special evening of Jazz Manouche. Whether you're a jazz
afficionado, a follower of the great Django Reinhardt, a connoisseur of
fine guitarists or just a music fan, you won't want to miss this show.
