Hello to all:
I'm optimistically imbibed by news that Ameranouche has purchased a
new, "Nouchmobile"!
Yes, it is another Ford Windstar.
It a 1998 that is plum purple with a lot less miles on it then it
predecessor.
Purple is my favorite color personally. I will try to get some
pictures of it posted. Perhaps you all could help us come up with a
name for it?
I will be putting together the odds and ends of the particulars of
this vehicle to make it a safe, comfortable and secure ride along
with the help of our trusty mechanic's aid and advise.
Hopefully(fingers crossed), we will be ready to take to the road
again soon and coming to a town near you.
Thanks to everyone for the support and positive vibrations towards us
getting this car.
Ironically Ryan and I looked this very car over the night before we
left for our last tour. I said to Ryan, "If that is still here when
we get back, I'll make him an offer and see if he'll take it, if he
does, I'll buy it". Well, he took my offer.
The engine and transmission seem OK. It has three possibly four,
immediate problems that need to be fixed. Other then all that and
barring some other possibile standard stuff which is a pretty long
and somewhat boring list, we should have a pretty solid little van to
get us from hee-ya to they-ya and back for sure-a.
We'll see what we get into so far as the nuts and bolts of it all,
but I think we should be able to get it all put together without too
much trouble.
Needless to say, I'm really excited about going on tour with the
group in a car that will not be giving us problems.
I personally, would rather instead of thinking about transmissions
during the next tour, be thinking about harmonic and
melodic "Transitions!!!" with the group's sonic output.
What an outstanding prospect.
Anyhow, thanks for reading through my car rant.
The goal of an ever-clearer vision of harmonic and melodic tonal
structure and a safe and reliable vehicle that will help the group to
move and travel on the roads of America hopefully just got a little
more closer to Ameranouche.
I'll keep you posted.

Keep swingin'
Shepp

Well,

I haven't...
However, I'll sell you a 99 GMC extendend cab 4x4 with a topper that has a new
alternator...
Should make it a few miles from any airport in the USA as long as you have AAA
towing...

Best,

A.K.

You'll just have to fly out to pick it up, cuz I won't drive it out there back
east and loose it's
value...

Should stop snowing there any day now. Right?
Basking in the sun here...

Glad you got home safe.

Or replace them, if they are a money pit...

Hello to you all:
We wish to thank everyone who came out to our shows, purchased CDs,
had us in their homes, fed us, put us up, put up with us, and in
general, extended kindness towards us and allowed us to get home safe
and somewhat sound.
By somewhat sound I mean that our van did make it back but it's not
going to come out with us again. Its just plum tuckered out But we
made it back very safe and all together.
The state of Ameranouche is sound!
(If any of you know of a good deal on a 98 or later Ford Windstar,
though, please let us know.)
We believe that the tour was a success. We made some great
connections and had some very good shows. The overall playing was
tight and exploratory and most importantly, we had fun with it.
We'd like to extend a special thanks to John Donahower from
Franklinville for hosting a special house concert at his home and to
Brandon Johnson, the Johnson Swing quartet in Knoxville for allowing
the Nouche' invasion of Knoxville and Shepp's mother Evelyn Sheppard
for making the Jersey pit stop so comfortable and hospitable, thanks
mom.
Many thanks to the folks down at WDVX in Knoxville www.wdvx.com and
Whip tavern too in Coatsville PA www.thewhiptavern.com what a great
venue.
We did a video while in Knoxville that was filmed and produced by
Christian Lang who is an amazingly talented photographer and video-
grapher. We did a music video with our song "Homage" from Homage a`
Manouche. We'll keep you posted as to when it's available. To see
Christian's work, go to his website at www.christianlange.com
Thank you Christian.
Many thanks to Dan Kinter our faithful friend, promoter and
confidante and many thanks also to Marael, our ever-blossoming
manager. You are both, the best!
We met so many nice people as we always do on these trips.
You all were so helpful, kind and supportive. Whether is was helping
with directions, helping us to get that extra nice cup of comforting
hot beverage, a kind word, a smile, an understanding ear, kind words
of encouragement and most importantly, your support of Gypsy jazz it
is all so much so, appreciated by all of us of Ameranouche.
If any of you would like to share with us your thoughts, please do
so. We love hearing froim you.
Thank you all again. We really appreciate all of you so much.
Till next time,
Keep swingin'

Spring is just about here and I want to say hello to
all of you who are fans and supporters of Ameranouche.
There is some important information here for anyone
who is on our mailing list so please take the time to
read through it. If you are not on our mailing list,
you can disregard this email, and you will not be sent
another. If you want to stay on our email list, please
read this.

As some of you may know, we are using a new email
service provider for our monthly mailing list. It has
come to our attention that many of you are concerned
about our desire to use an email service for our
mailing list. Please know that we understand and
respect each and everyone of you, and we thank you for
  voicing your concerns.

Adding your email address into our new mailing list
service at ReverbNation, enables us to let you know
what is happening with our group in a way which our
present server is incapable of doing. With
ReverbNation, we can specifically target various
demographic areas nationally and internationally and
it will allow us to be very specific to the people we
contact through email thus allowing for a more
efficient communication to specific areas that we are
going to be performing and the folks that surround
that area. This allows for less email being sent out
in a general sense (unless you want to know what is
happening with us generally) and allows us to be more
efficient in communicating with you without a lot of
superfluous, bothersome emails, or lack of . For
example, if you are living in Texas, you wont receive
anything from us unless you we are playing in
Texas...unless you request otherwise (some people like
to know every show we are playing)

Our main concern is to serve you better. We are trying
our best to do the right thing that will make our
supporters lives easier. We really appreciate all of
you. We really hope that you will consider working
with us on this so that our group can move forward and
work more efficiently to serve our fans.

So, without further explanation, here is where you can
sign up for our new and improved Ameranouche Mailing
list:

We will not share your information with anyone.
Reverbnation will not share your information with
anyone. For reassurance, please go to
www.reverbnation.com and read their terms.
We are just really jazzed that we will be able to
finally do a real mailing list, and we are trying our
best to put this together.

Thank you very much for reading this. We really
appreciate your time and consideration.
We are so happy to know of your interest in
Ameranouche and your support of Gypsy Jazz.
From the bottom of our hearts, we collectively say
thank you.
Very truly yours,
Shepp, Ryan and Xar

Hey, if you will be in Maine on New years Day,
we will be having a Gypsy Jazz New Years Day Brunch
