Hi friends
My favorite "Pelican Head" Hugh Taylor is at it again with his annual funraiser
for a good civic cause (see below). They likes to eat and cut up at these
functions too!
Well that's enough to get me down from Hi-hattin' ol' Leon County with "and
friends" (AKA Charlie Engstrom and his National Steel Bodied Guitar).
We should be starting in earnest by appx. 6:30PM. FRI JUNE 3rd.
Cheers
Jon

BENEFIT
WAKULLA INDEPENDENT REPORTER
FRIDAY, JULY 3RD, 6:00 -- 8:30
WAKULLA SPRINGS STATE PARK
AZALEA PAVILION, OUTSIDE THE LODGE, INSIDE THE PARK
FOOD, MUSIC AND MORE!
BRING $20 AND A DESSERT
Greetings from the land of no-see-ums so big you can see 'em and Posseem, the
terrorist possum.
Every year we have a benefit for the Wakulla Independent Reporter, our local
free paper, to support efforts to print. All the money goes to hard printing and
mailing costs; labor, writing and editorial effort are all volunteered. Remember
your civics? "I may not agree with what you say but will defend to the death
your right to say it, especially if you feed me."
So, we'll be feeding, Friday, July 3rd. At Wakulla Springs State Park, outside
the lodge in the picnic area. 6:00 TIL 8:30 pm. We'll have BBQ sandwiches
(addictive, from Mack's Country Meats), and the usual fixins, with desserts.
Which people will bring. For our "red, white, and blue" dessert contest. We'll
have some culinaryatos there for the judging, plus we'll be selling judgeships
(we have no shame) for the cause.
So, bring $20 per person for the dinner, $4 per carload to get into the park, a
dessert for the dessert contest and tell/email your friends. Wear your most
casual Wakullianna dress (no pearls) and come for dinner.
Music by Jon Copps and friends, speeches by the first amendmenteers, and good
old fashioned fellowship.
Remember Henry the pole-vaulting fish? Well, come meet Henry the pole-vaulting
yellow fly.
And Posseem, of course . . .
