Thanks to everyone who came out to the Numbers gig last night. It was a very
magical evening that none of us will soon forget.

Here's a link to some photos from the Austin gig a few weeks back.

We've uploaded another awesome Morningstar remix to the Asmo Myspace page. This
one is by hEADaCHE of the electro outfit Ceoxime. He's done many awesome remixes
for folks like Attrition, Croc Shop, Terrorfakt and Pigface, and we're honored
and impressed that he consented to lay some of his mojo on Asmo. Check it out at

www.myspace.com/asmodeusx

And after you've been wooed by that, check out some of his other fabulous work

Latex Records Update:
HURRICANE RELIEF: Electro Age I

Thanks to CDBaby, we have found a way to help support the Hurricane Relief
effort. CDBaby is donating all CD sales for this title to the Red Cross
disaster relief fund, to help the hurricane victims until further notice! So,
if you STILL don't have a copy, get one! If you have one, get one for a friend.
Stock up on Christmas gifts early! I fear we have not yet even begun to
comprehend the extent of the affect that Katrina has had on those in the Gulf
Coast regions affected. Many people will most likely not be able to return to
their homes, or any home, nor any sort of normal routine for months at the very
least. With the economy the way it has been it is difficult for many to donate
as much as we might wish to the appropriate organizations. Thus, if you can
take advantage of deals like this where you get something for your money AND it
benefits others, I highly recommend it! Blessings! May everyone affected by
this tragedy and those who have loved ones affected by this
tragedy know that our thoughts and prayers are with you!!!

PRIMAL RIVER VALLEY

FINALLY!!

You may remember my last notice was around 06/11/05 when materials went to
mastering. Well, unfortunately this project saw even further delays. However,
I am VERY HAPPY to inform you that this project has FINALLY been completed and
is in the mail in route to me as I type. I should have this order shortly and
will be sending copies to the participants. PLEASE contact your favorites from
the list to acquire your copy before buying one from the label. This project is
designed to benefit those involved and not for monetary gain for Latex Records!

I KNOW this is weird!

Again, I would also like to thank ALL the bands and contributors to this
project! This project, more than anything, is meant for THEM and thus I
STRONGLY ENCOURAGE anyone who wants a copy of this project to PLACE YOUR ORDERS
WITH THE BANDS INVOLVED. This way you KNOW you are supporting the music YOU
like!

Band - Asmodeus X
Album - Morningstar
This release is an editor's pick on Smother.Net

Review - Having formed in Houston, Texas in '99, Asmodeus X is
set to stir the ashes of Nitzer Ebb. While EBM has taken ahold of Europe
for the past half decade or more, it's only barely catching up here
stateside. I'm glad to see some great artists are emerging even from the
unlikely places of the United States like Texas. Their cover of Fever
Tree's "San Francisco Girls" helped make their mark in the underground
scene and has propelled them to the forefront of the just re-emerging
American electro-industrial scene.

It's been a while since we've had the opportunity to play Austin - since the
Atomic Cafe days in fact, and we're pleased as punch to be returning.

In other affairs, we've been working on new stuff and collecting some awesome
remixes, some of which are featured on our myspace page. Check it out!
www.myspace.com/asmodeusx

Also, we're currently in negotiations with Version Records of Detroit over the
possible release (or perhaps re-release is more appropriate) of the album Nova
Futura. As some of you may recall, this was Asmo's ill-fated first album which
was never properly released at the time due to circumstances beyond our control.
Driving to Wewelsberg, The Tiger, San Francisco Girls, all these were a part of
Nova Futura, not to mention the guitar stylings of Frank Faust (aka Gary
Lesikar) and yours truly on the theremin. Check the Asmo website or myspace page
for updates.

Greetings all,

Sorry we've been silent for a while - we've been busy in the studio developing
new material and concepts. A couple of things worth metioning here...

We're still getting together some cool remixes. We just got another cool remix
of Crucified Serpent, this one by Daemon Law of Written in Ashes. It's way cool,
check it out: www.myspace.com/asmodeusx

Morningstar can now be downloaded through iTunes and Musicmatch for those who
prefer to pull there music out of the ether.

Erin Powell of the neo-folk group Awen has sent us some groovy new photos which
you can check out in the photos section of the Asmodeian YG.

Latex Records Update: Special Radio Spots!

Hello Everyone,

I know it's been awhile and the usual teaser, Primal River Valley, is still
rolling around. We have finally completed all audio masters and are finishing
off the inlay text with graphics. Once this is complete this project will go to
production so hold onto your hats! This week we've had two very exciting radio
spotlights come to fruition.

Written In Ashes LIVE on KPSU - Portland, OR

The first is Written In Ashes live appearance on KPSU in Portland, Oregon. The
band appeared on the radio show A Strange Choice of Favorites which plays every
Monday at 10PM if I'm not mistaken. This live interview featured the 'entire'
new lineup live on air. The band is very candid and showed many sides of their
personalities as well as played music from the latest album, unfinished tracks,
outtakes, and a special Nine Inch Nails remix by member Damon Law, also of
theStark. They discuss plans for the future and many other things both personal
and professional. This is a great way opportunity to check out the band and
learn much more about them and their works than what can be gathered from just
one CD. These guys have a very strong humourus side that you would not see
reflected in their music but can really get a feel for through communication
with them.

Please listen to the broadcast at:

Asmodeus X & Latex Records in an Unusual Location

Recently, we have had a small bit of exposure of the music of Asmodeus X and a
spoken word Subgenius "rant" through The Hour of Slack, the official Church of
the Subgenius radio show. This was an unusual yet fun project in which TG
Mondalf of Latex Records sat down and wrote a Subgenius rant, mostly for fun.
This was then taken to Paul Fredric of Asmodeus X who kindly reproduced the rant
into an audio format. This was offered to Rev. Ivan Stang, founder of The
Church of the Subgenius, who liked it well enough to feature it in episode #993.
This episode also features samples of music from Asmodeus X while Rev. Ivan
Stang gives show credits and such. This was a very fun project and anyone
familiar with The Church of the Subgenius knows how zany this group can be.
Load of fun!!! Ivan mispoke the credits but that's okay. We are very happy to
be able to be a part of this wild, crazy bunch and contribute to this 2 decade
old eclectic project. Praise Bob!

Hello,

This is just a quick note to everyone to inform you that all is OK
with Latex Records. We had some server issues and had to transfer the
entire domain over and thus you may have seen some 'bounced' e-mail or
have experienced difficulties accessing our site, shop, and/or forum.

If you have sent me an e-mail within the past month that is
'important' (DJs do not need to resend playlists), please feel free
to resend your message if you think I may not have gotten it or have
not replied.

I'm sorry for all the confusion and if there were any inconveniences.

On the lighter side, just as a quick update: We've added four new
items to our shop.
Dark Realms Magazine #18
Gothic Beauty #16
PushRods: Girls in Vinyl Skirts CD
Envy is Blind: Evolve CD

The PushRods classify themselves as "porn punk rock". I personally
think the vocal style is quite a bit like Jello Biafra when he was in
the Dead Kennedy's heyday. Check it out if you're a punk fan.

You can find out more about Envy is Blind at:
http://latexrecords.com/artists/envyisblind.html
{http://latexrecords.com/artists/envyisblind.html}

Also, while this may be totally ODD - I've personally written a
'rant' for the Church of the Subgenius and we've recorded an audio
version performed by Rev. Fritzi (aka Paul Fredric of Asmodeus X) so
check out future archives of the Hour of Slack by Rev. Ivan Stang to
hear it.
http://subgenius.com/ts/hos.html {http://subgenius.com/ts/hos.html}
(good fun for the abnormals and nonconformists out there!)

Lastly, I bet you are wondering WHAT CONTEST? (Win FREE CDs from
Latex Records)
Well, this year Latex Records 'finally' plans on getting some
magazine ads out. I'm not a graphic designer myself and thus I
thought it might be fun to see what any 'fans' of the label might
come up with. So, I'm going to do this. You can submit either a 1/4
page ad for a magazine and/or a 468x60 banner for Latex Records. Be
creative!!

The BEST AD will receive a copy of each CD in the current Latex
Records label catalogue for FREE!
This includes the following:
LTX001 v/a Electro Age I
LTX002 Written In Ashes
LTX003 Asmodeus X: Morningstar
LTX004 Little Tin Box: Action Music
LTX005 Mystified:Transient

BEST WEB BANNER will receive any ONE CD listed above.

IF the Primal River Valley project completes before the end of this
project I'll throw one in for each winner as well!!! ;-)

Contest End Date: May 1st, 2005

Have fun!!! and if you are not a designer but know someone who is
please feel free to tell your friends ;-)

Eternal Blessings,
TG Mondalf

Asmodeus X – Morningstar (Latex Records 2004)

"I was quite surprised the first time I listened to this CD, it has a old-school
veteran feel with new school moments of creativity and bravado. Rich synths,
catchy beats and formidable yet soulful vocals, whether they be true or
synthetically filtered to appear artificially intelligent. Standout tracks on
this disc include… “Against The Moon”, “SETI” – (instrumental) “Voices of the
Fallen”, “Son’s of Midnight”, “L.O.D” (very nice) and “Krishna”. The title track
“Morningstar” is great… both the LP version and the acoustic “Visonary Mix” and
my favorite is the tribute to Psychic TV, “Roman P”. Want another treat?? Go to
www.vitaminic.com and download the track “Beyond the Water – Processor Mix” it’s
fantastic as well. The religious overtones and outright spoken ones on this CD
are no different from any other act in this scene expressing a belief or telling
a story rooted in darkness, this CD gets my recommendation. [Mystchief]"

GOTHIC BEAUTY, ISSUE #15

"Asmodeus X
Morningstar
Latex Records

The first of many things attractive about this release is the band name. An
interesting play on Deus Ex Machina (God Is The Machine). For the synthpop-ish
releases that have graced my CD since FR/Action's last release, this is easily
one of the best. Instantly addictive, beautifully produced, and visually
stunning. One of the best album covers I've seen so far. There isn't one song on
this album that couldn't easily be a single. From opening to closing, this album
never lets down and never lets up. Morning Star is an enhanced-CD featuring the
video for "Voices Of The Fallen" which is as visually brilliant as the audio
track itself. This is definitely one to buy.

There's an awesome new review posted on the Heathen Harvest website:
Asmodeus X - Morningstar Saturday, February 26 2005 @ 12:41 PM PST
Contributed by: Erin Powell

Artist: Asmodeus X

Title: Morningstar

Label: Latex records

Genre: EBM / Darkwave

A very strong Luciferian theme pervades throughout the new album Morningstar by
Asmodeus X. Those with a nominal education in bibliology and/or the occult will
recognize the very title of Morningstar as an alias of Lucifer. This should,
however, not be dismissed by non-satanists as a superficial satanic shock/sales
tactic. The subject matter of this album is concerned with legitimate esoterica.
Electronic music enthusiasts and aesthetes rest assured, there is no profusion
of metal guitar present. This album is a blend of EBM and Darkwave with a
Neofolk rendition of the title track as an organic closing gesture.

In "Voices of the Fallen", we hear an electrified portrayal of the Wild Hunt
--that ghostly Nordic procession of fallen warriors directed by Odin-- with
relentlessly galloping synthesizers and washes of nebulous sound mingling with a
distinctively haunting vocal...

"Morningstar", the third full length release from Asmodeus X is redefining the
world of electronic music and the way that we catergorize musical acts. Mix in
some ebm, elements of Kraftwerk era minimalistic electro, industrial
sensibilities, left hand path tactics, trance-like future/synth pop, and the
unique product that you come up with is the undeniably interesting sound of
Asmodeus X.
Esoteric and seductive, full of antiquated yet suprisingly relevent ideals, that
lend nothing but an exciting power and an edge that many artists are so
desperately lacking, "Morningstar" shines in a world of repetitive and
unimaginative musical darkness....

hEADaCHE of CEOXiME has often appeared on Industrial and electronica

Here is a collection of his remixes compiled onto one CD. This does
not by any means contain all his remixes but does hold a varied
collection. Includes remixes of artists such as Collide, Diverje Croc

REPOST: MYSTIFIED: Transient [Shortrun]
This message is being reposted so that those of you who receive HTML
formatting can see the cover art.

Thomas of Mystified has been composing electronica tracks since the
late nineties. In the past few years, his music has evolved into a
genre he would like to call "Industrial-Ambient" (c.f. Lustmord,
Rapoon, Nocturnal Emissions).

Transient (2005) The official release of Transient 1 & 2 on Latex
Records plus the addition of a brand new track. This CD release
features 13 tracks of Thomas' unique genre, Industrial-Ambient,
combining the best of the 2 widely-received MP3 releases, Transient &
Transient 2 with some new work and brand new cover art. Fans of
drones, sweeps, chugs, and dub-by beats will love this album, as will
fans of urbania and industrial music!

We are just about ready to review the master to make sure all is as it should
be. Graphics will be putting the finishing touches on this release then it's off
to manufacturing - wish us luck!! We are sure the time waited will be well worth
it and everyone will thoroughly enjoy this 2CD set. It will be available for the
price of a single CD (or less). Again, we encourage you to purchase it first
from the bands until they are sold out before buying them from the label.
Promote the scene - do NOT duplicate, put money in the pockets of the artists
who create the music we all love!!!

>From HaVoK's very own playbook a few bands that several of you commonly ask
me about.

1. Magdalene's Dream - http://magdalenesdream.com
Keith Hillebrandt, sound designer/programmer from Nine Inch Nails side
project. Features Keith and the enchanting fem vox of Lana.

2. Vertigo Blue - http://vertigoblue.org
Mike Naus, out of RealmGothica's hometown of Houston this
industrial/electronica talent has a sound that you won't soon forget. Not a
single person who has seen him perform at HaVoK hasn't been charmed by his
passion and creativity. Look for him soon again on the HaVoK stage. If you'd
like him to come to your town contact him directly or myself.

3. Provision - http://provision-musik.net
Out of Houston Breye and the fem. duo of Leslie Hyman and Jen Foxx, also
formerly with the talents of Carlos Covarrrubias. Provision is deeply loved
by it's Houston fans and seeing them in concert you'll quickly know why.
Recently checking out my first Live show with them I was overwhelmed with
admiration. I've always known they were talented musically from their cds
and the message they deliver but as I've told them the Live show is simply
WOW. The entire group has the best stage presense I've seen in some time.
Truely what I like to see when I go to a show. Out of the 4 cds of theirs
that I have I still can fix myself on any one single song that I like the
most. I'm settling on Visualize. (HaVoK Plug) Performing LIVE Jan 23rd
Sunday at HaVoK with Attrition. http://havokonline.com

4. AsmodeusX - http://asmodeusx.com
Another Houston band. The very talented trio simply lights fire in the
soul with very enchanting beats and what I consider a euro-synth sound that
I simply can't find any comparison to. These guys are at the very top of my
favorites list. I proudly support these guys directly because they have
great personalities and the music is top notch. I've been able to get a
sneak preview of their upcoming new works and I know the long time fans will
be shocked and impressed as they turn up the notch yet again. Personally I
even appear in one of their videos that is included when you purchase their
latest "MorningStar" with a variety of many other special people I've gotten
to know over the years. (HaVoK Plug) Performing LIVE Jan 23rd Sunday at
HaVoK with Attrition. http://havokonline.com

5. Dope Stars Inc. - http://dopestarsinc.com
I don't know these guys personally but when you find one of those cds
that you like the world damn thing you know it's something special. DSI is
VERY hard hitting, fast paced darkwave and it's finest. It's one of those
band you simply have to have in your collection NO DOUBT.

6. Project 12:01 - http://project1201.com
This one came out of the blue to me and I'm loving spinning their music
weekly. FRONT242 fans will find a great fem. voxed remake of Headhunter on
the cd titled "Last Pharaoh". Check them out for that reason alone.

7. Call Me Alice - http://callmealice.com
Beautiful 5 member Rock like band with sweet fem vox sounds. They can
also be considered Alternative Pop. I'm still discovering them but have been
impressed by them so far.

For many more darkwave band links check out the infamous RealmGothica at
http://realmgothica.com (LinkBank/Music). Over 250 darkwave related bands
and 750+ kounter kultured links hand picked.
