I recently received an incrediby hateful email. It was from a lady
in Indiana asking all
americans to boycott the US postal stamp that commemorates the
islamic holidays. The
US postal system puts out a series of stamps for christians, jews,
and muslims every year
around this time.
Her arguement was that muslims are all terrorists and muslims hate
all other people.
I sent her an email (politely) telling her that she did not
understand our religion and even
president Bush has repeatedly told America that Islam is about peace.

She wrote me a hateful email in responce.

Her mailing address was on the bottom of each email as part of her
signature. I thought it
would be wonderful to ask everyone in america to send her a postcard
with a postal stamp
commemorating islam on it. I think we should all buy the stamps at
the post office and
send her a postcard. Please do not write anything on that is rude,
hateful, or insulting.
That would be stoooping to her level.
But instead, we can fill her mailbox with simple reminders that
muslims are from all walks
of life in all parts of america. Maybe wish her well, or just draw a
smiley face?

Forward this around, if your in school, make sure your islamic
student organization gets
this. Lets overwhelm her with our support of the US postal stamp and
our ability to NOT
BE HATEFUL towards her.
