Hi all,
SamaTo (With Aly, Amara, Ibrahima and co) will be playing for a
reception at a movie premiere at the Carter Center on Tuesday 11/30.

Tickets to the reception and the movie are $50 each, for sale at
www.tix.com. The event is sponsored by Lionsgate Films, but all of
the funds from ticket purchases are being donated to the
International Community School in DeKalb County, which is a new
Charter school opened to serve refugee, immigrant and local children.

The performance will be from 6-7pm, as people enter, and will be
reception-style, with gongoma, krin, drum, singing and some dancing.

Believe in the Power to Change Your Destiny
The story of a 12-year-old refugee boy, David, who escapes a
Communist labor camp carrying a compass, a pocketknife, a sealed
letter, a bar of soap, a half-loaf of bread and instructions to go
to Denmark. Based on the acclaimed children's novel by Anne Holm,
the film stars Joan Plowright, Jim Caviezel, and Ben Tibber.
Benefiting International Community School A DeKalb County public
charter school for refugee, immigrant and local children.
