Hi all,
Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed the holiday season and are up
for a rhythmical 2004. The purpose of this email is to update,
remind and recap.

Coming this Saturday, January 10, we have an advanced djembe class
taught by Aly Camara at our home in Stone Mountain. Class is at 10 am
and the cost is $15. If you need directions, email me or call my cell
phone at 404/909-3036.

We have a very large space here and it worked out very well for our
music event on Friday night. On Friday, we held our first night of
African rhythm and song, and it was a lot of fun. We played some
drums, we sang a few African songs, and we ate some great African
food. There's interest in doing this again and some folks are sad
they missed it, so we are planning to try this on a monthly basis and
see how it goes. The next will be the first Friday in February -
2/6/04 at 7 pm.

ATHENS, GA on Friday, January 16th at 5pm, our West African drum &
dance ensemble, SamaTo, is performing at UGA. Cost is $8 for adults,
$5 for students/children.

Our Sunday drum classes are going strong - every Sunday 12:30 pm -
2pm. Cost is $12. Classes are held at the SouthEast YMCA on
Memorial Drive, about 1.5 miles east of Moreland Avenue.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and also if you have
any ideas about programs you would like to see.
Thanks!
Sharon
