Dreaming

June 24 - 27, 2004 @ Dragon Hills, Carrolton, GA

"Weaving the Community"

Updated Information for Dreaming:

The intentional community being built next weekend is taking shape in
wonderful ways! In addition to the information available on the
gathering at the Dreaming website http://dreaming.gaea.ws, we would
like to provide you with some updated information about this
adventure.

** On-Site Registration is now available

We are now opening registrations for Dreaming to include on-site
registration. This is still a private gathering with membership
required for admission. We will allow memberships to be granted at
the gate.

The on-site admission fees will be : $55 per adult $25 per child
Day passes are also available at the gate.

If you are planning, or even seriously considering attending Dreaming
(or if you would like to be on our mailing list) please become a
member of Dreaming Earth Productions at:

http://dreaming.gaea.ws/reg/write_entry.php

** The Goblin's Ball

The Goblins Ball is a Masquerade dance and social where you can
mingle with fellow dreamers. Music will be provided by Trance
Formation and a DJ playing a wildly eclectic mix of dance music.
Although costumes and masks are not required, you are encouraged to
dress, or at least adorn yourself to evoke the beauty of the
fantastic. One of the joys of dream is that you can become whoever
and whatever you please. Expected attendees might include goblins,
knights in shining armor, diaphanous faeries, well heeled
aristocrats, butterfly goddesses, vampires, kilted Scotsmen, blue-
painted Picts, leather clad extroverts, sky clad witches, aliens,
amazons, and middle-eastern dancers. There will be adulation and
prizes for the most beautifully and outrageously adorned attendees.
Light refreshments and non-alcoholic punch will be provided.

** Workshops and Blacksmith Workshop

An updated schedule of workshops and descriptions will be available
on the Dreaming website soon to help you plan the best Dreaming
festival for you.

Attendees wishing to participate in Boomer's blacksmithing class on
Saturday afternoon (4-hour class) should contact Boomer in advance to
register. Class materials fee is $35 in advance or $45 if you
register on-site. Contact Boomer at badgerforge@...

** Saturday Ritual

The main ritual for Dreaming is titled "Waking Gaea" and will
incorporate many aspects of our community. The voices of Evocation,
along with the energy of Dreaming attendees, will be combined to coax
Gaea from her slumber and move us into a new paradigm.

** Weather Update

According to several sources, the weather is expected to be :

Thursday: 89°/65° Isolated Thunderstorms - 30 % chance
Friday: 87°/66° Scattered Thunderstorms - 40 % chance
Saturday: 84°/66° Scattered Thunderstorms - 40 % chance
Sunday: 85°/66° Scattered Thunderstorms - 40 % chance

Afternoon showers at Dragon Hills tend to be brief but strong, so
please be prepared to rainproof your campsite during the event. The
rain should cool the air a bit and the temperatures sound very
promising!

Dreaming 2004 is a HOT WEATHER GATHERING
Wear sunscreen, especially if that's all you are wearing. Even a
cloudy day lets through enough UV to sunburn very delicate skin
easily. Stay under cover when you can, and try not to spend too much
time in direct sunlight. Remember... That's melanin in your skin,
not asbestos.

Drink water. Drink more water. Did I mention to drink water?
Dehydration is no fun whatsoever.

For the hottest part of the day, and for those who just like to muck
about in the water, we have provided a misting pavilion and built a
couple misting fans for the site. These blow a fine mist of cool
water which is just about perfect for cooling down from the hot
afternoon sun.

** Mobius Fae Cafe

One of our food vendors has provided a tentative advance menu for
your edification:

Thurs. Evening: Grilled Italian Chicken, mashed potatoes, green
beans, yeast rolls. Vegetarian: Grilled Vegetable Pasta

Friday Evening: Pork BBQ, corn, salad, french bread, chili, salad.
Vegetarian: Grilled Mushroom and Vegetable BBQ

Saturday Evening: Roasted Beef and veggies, green beans, french
bread, spaghetti, salad
Vegetarian: Mushroom and Spinach Spaghetti

Assorted Desserts Available. Hours of operation: 9a -11a
(Breakfast) 1p-4p (Lunch) 7:30p (Dinner)

** Work Weekend

Thanks so much for those of you who came out and helped set up the
sites, tents, and materials during this past weekend. We did just
about everything that could be done the weekend beforehand. Thanks
to all who are putting in the effort to make this such a wonderful
gathering!

We look forward to seeing everyone at Dreaming!!
