Guitarist/composer Mary Halvorson and her acclaimed trio, featuring bassist John Hebert and drummer Ches Smith, will play live on today’s episode of the popular WNYC radio program, Soundcheck, hosted by John Schaefer.

The group will be performing music from its debut CD, Dragon’s Head (Firehouse 12), which has been named to best-of-the-year lists in AllAboutJazz-New York, JazzTimes, the New York Times, Time Out Chicago and The Wire, as well as on numerous blogs.
