PLAYING DRUMS FOR DEEPER THIS SATURDAY!!!
I will be playing drums for "Deeper" in Caney, Kansas at Greg's Place this Saturday night which is May 5th, Cinco De Mayo! This should be a lot of fun! I'm going in with no rehearsal, so come and make fun of me when I screw up!  I sat in with the Deeper boy's a couple years ago and we had a real good time, so I'm looking forward to this, come check us out!

PAYNE COUNTY LINE WEBSITE HACKED!!!
Unfortunately, the nominations list for the Payne County Line music awards was lost, due to hackers getting into their web site. I know a lot of you voted and have been wondering, so I e-mailed Stan Moffat from the PCL and he said their website had been hacked and the hackers wiped out all the results and back ups. All that was left was the web site with the awards on it. You can see that here- http://paynecountyline.com/2007AwardsFinal.htm Stan said it made him so sick, he almost stopped doing the awards but has since been talked into continuing the effort.  For those of you that voted, I did get a peek at the early nominations list and both Hell or High Water and Down For Five were on there, so thank you very much for voting, we really do appreciate it! There were 1.8 million votes this year from all 50 states and 32 countries all over the world! It is quite an accomplishment to be voted onto that list of nominees and even more-so for the winners! We would like to send out a big congratulations to all the winners this year, some of which are good friends of ours!

DOWN FOR FIVE UPDATE
(Copied from the Down For Five forum @ http://downforfive.com/smf/index.php )

Hey everyone. Just wanted to give you guys an update on what's going on.

We had a really good band meeting the other night to discuss the band's future. The four of us have decided to take a hiatus for awhile, to write new material. We're not putting a time frame on this, we're just gonna go away and write and spend time writing good quality songs. We're not going to rush it, we're going to take our time and do it right.

For the last couple of years, it has been crazy hectic for us as far as doing the album, playing several times a month, and quite frankly, it's just time for us to go spend some time writing and revamping. This is something we need as a band and individually.

We will only be playing select shows, from time to time, during this time frame of writing and revamping. The May 26 show at Two Bucks is all we have scheduled right now. So the frequency of our shows, at least for the time being, is going to scale way back so we can focus on writing.

Now, something we need your help with.

If any of you know of a rehearsal space where we could rehearse for free, and preferably be able to leave our stuff set up without having to tear it down and set it up each time we come and go for practice, please pass that information along. Ideally, it would be a warehouse type setting where our noise will not bother any neighbors. So if any of you have friends or family that maybe own a business or work somewhere where they think a small corner of space would be available to us for no cost, again, please pass that information along. Any help or guidance on this situation is greatly appreciated.

We thank you guys for your help and support. You've been great to us. We'll see you soon.
