Introduction

Hello everybody,

I found this forum several months ago and I found some great stuff on it so I
decided to join. It's REALLY tough to find any info on the lower register.

Ever since I was real little I don't know what it was, but I was fascinated with
the bass singers. When I was only 5 years old I used to play The Oak Ridge Boys'
song Elvira over and over again just to sing the "Giddy Up Oomp Pa Pa Mow Mow"
part. Now I sing bass in an oldies revue show that has travels all over Florida
and in fact were in the process of working up Elvira . We do shows every single
weekend and our groups name is 24K Gold Music Shows.

I'm 20 years old, so I haven't been singing professionally for nearly as long as
most of you have. My lowest note I can most consistently hit is 2 C's below
middle C or the second C up from the bottom of the piano. (I don't know if that
C is called low C or double low C) On some days I can go lower (especially in
the morning) and then sometimes I lose a couple notes. My goal is to reach down
to Ab which is 4 semitones lower and the lowest Ab on the piano.

My favorite bass singer probably would have to be gospel singer Tim Duncan from
The Signature Sound Quartet.
