A forum for the discussion and exchange of Bluegrass music and ALL of its roots and branches. While the music created by the Master, Bill Monroe is central to this list we do not shy away from the music that has come before or beyond, as either his inspiration or the inspired. Political discussion is not encouraged, but if even remotely related to the music will be tolerated, irregardless of political persuasion, whether left, right, center, or none of the above.

The philosophy and raison d'etre (pardon my lack of French) of this list is the following:

"if you want to appreciate Bluegrass, where it's been or where it's goin'.....newgrass, jazzgrass, jamgrass, or whateverthehell you wanna call it.......you got to listen to the music of Bill Monroe. He is the Master."
