result is an existentialistic inferno of various musical trash and
harshrhythms, with clanging, mechanized percussion barely cushioned by

[Artist statement] “The Frogs” is our most recent project. It is the
second installment in the “Fauna” series coming step after “…for
electronics and birds” (Stateart). As it says in the title this album is
dedicated to the frogs and represent our collaboration with singer
Victoria Hanna.
We met Victoria, amazing vocal artist from Jerusalem, a couple of years
ago and from the very first time it was obvious for us that we’ll do
something together. We played several concerts of chants vs. electronics
in Israel and USA. One day Victoria sent us a tape with her vocal
improvisations that she has recorded using some of our casual live
recordings as a playback. She wrote: “Do with that what ever you want”.
So we did.

We decided to create a totally new piece from this material. We used a
lot of different techniques: from field environmental recordings to live
electronics, from electroacoustics to pure synthesizer music, from free
noise improvisation to endless drones. There were no compositional or
conceptual limits except one thing: we tried to reconstruct that amazing
feeling of infinite astonishment that probably Tutuola’s palm-wine
drinkard felt traveling to the town of ghosts. Something we felt every
time we got together with Victoria and started to produce sounds.

layers of intriguing manipulations can also be found on the shorter,
straighter tunes, where we can even hear a few samples of his pet
animals. The sum of it all is simply mind bending!

called Shamo and Módulo 1000, an old Brazilian psychedelic rock band) is
wisely build around a superb sense of musicality that will certainly
bring closer those who still feel MERZBOW is about pure white noise and

distortion and harshness.

working on a basis of certain thematical concepts or philosophical
ideas. The name of the group is derived from 'Stabat Mater' -ÊPassion
Music. This EP uses an autobiographic text from Klaus Kinski, the
legendary 'daemonic' actor, as an inspiration, 'to transform his greed
for life musically'. On this release, there are two pieces (named 'DIE
FRAU DES DIREKTORS' and 'KREPIERT') with minimal elements. Piercing, low

“rhythms” and “pulsations”, with a focus on rhythmic, pounding, looping
& repetitive elements and structures. With TJUKURRPA 3, TROUM shows a
not so well known side, using the trance-power of repetitive textures.
In every of the seven extensive tracks (playtime 66+ min) rhythms in
various moods build the basis: from smooth ambience-pulsations over
ritualistic surroundings up to ecstatic pounding harshness, from
underneath & soft pulsative patterns up to evolving harsh & overwhelming
rhythmic loops. The music on Tjukurrpa III is made by raw & processed
loops & handplayed percussion, along with electric guitar & bass,
balalaika, mouth organ, male & female human voice, flute, and accordeon.
