OPERAE SPERERAE / OPUS SOMNIFEROUS: SPLIT, CD

This is the first release of Goodnight Moon Music as a split full length
CD between Operae Spererae, and Opus Somniferous- the two being
creations revolving around the music of Opion Somnium. These two
projects were recorded at the Maple St. studio from May- July of 2004,
in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Many local musicians participated in this
collaboration with Opion Somnium and made the creation this possible.
From these two lengthy ep's that happened simultaneously in one busy
summer, this split full length emerges as a beautiful movement of music
and a new chapter in the book of Opion Somnium, that soars with a grand
sense of hope, and is the beginning of Goodnight Moon Music.

The 2nd release from Goodnight Moon Music is a slightly remade version
of the "Ascend and Descend With Feathers in Hand" album by Opion
Somnium, which was originally recorded in 2002 as one of the most
emotional and epic albums from Opion Somnium, and and was the first to
recieve much enthusiasm in Germany and throughout Europe. Now, two years
later, a slightly remixed and edited version is released officially for
the first time by GMM on a transparent blue colored 12" vinyl and full
color jackets.

TIDAL: GOLEM AND MAN, CD-R

A masterpiece that even the artist says is his favorite Tidal release.
The dark, droning, powerful stylings of Tidal, wandering into the
Yiddish legend of the Golem, a magic construct that was said to awaken
and defend the people in difficult times. Applying the occult motif of
the myth, Golem And Man explores irrational mysteries through some of
the densest, darkest, mostpenetrating ambient on Manifold. Four lengthy
tracks evoke different tableaus, different techniques. Murky, keening
drones flow and wander in from out of the night. Fog creeps across the
water, eerie forms move through the Slavic night. Ancient angels of clay
watch the borderlands, the bordering forest. Strange forms and spirits
moved through the world long ago. This record renders, in ambient
grey-scape drones, the scene of this idea. Transformed into ideas for
modern thinkers, strangely appropriate for events in our world now.
Thematic U.S. based sound and concept artist Tidal delves into the
atmospheres evoked by the Yiddish legend of the Golem. Suitably ancient
and solemn drones limned with ritualist undertones.The scenery is always
changing, the feeling never really leaves the realm of one wandering
through unfamiliar places at night, not quite threatening but not quite
natural either. very similar in sound to Crawl Unit 'VS Silence' or
Lustmord's earlier, noisier work. In canvas and clay medallion package,
suiting the legend as the Golem was said to be made of mud and cloth.
