glacial beats surge beneath barely-concealed melodies and noisy pop
hooks. The BAND OF SUSANS influence is again strong here, but as if that
band reformed in an overheated basement somewhere down south, trying to
rewrite PIXIES tunes with a battered, beersoaked drum machine on loan
from GODFLESH and cough-syrup drenched black-metal vocals
moaning/croaking bizarre atonal proclamations. Completely fucked up.

Deep, rumbling, and eternal speaker-buzz worship, wrapped around
lumbering riffs drunk on cough syrup and shimmering distortion overload.
Howling feedback mantras repeated ad infinitum. Major key rustic
lullabies are reduced to primal string scraping drones that climb over
mountains of echoing hum. Intensely melodic and repetitious, like
SKULLFLOWER covering EARTH's 2 in an old, empty farmhouse. FULCI is Eric
Crowe (formerly of Social Infestation, currently of Marax) and Adam
Wright. Former members of Leviathan A.D. and The Bodybag Romance
assisted on bass and drums, respectively. Mastered by Scott Hull at

KORPERSCHWACHE: SORDID REVELATIONS FROM THE CULT OF THE NAZARENE, CD-R

Extended buzzsaw feedback necrodrone blasts that resemble the slow
shrieking and crushing destruction inflicted by heavy machinery.
Existing somewhere between pure noise|drone ambient and the grisliest
depths of avant-garde/mutant Black Metal (minus any semblance of
percussion,mind you), this is the sound of a small orchestra of fried
out amplifiers performing extreme exercises in dissonant annihilation,
with occasional vocal proclamations by Elektra Sturmschnell. But believe
it or not, there are some DAMN CATCHY moments here. Using tape loops,
gadgets, distorted samples,effects pedals,and blown-amp guitars and
bass, Korperschwache creates an extremely loud form of isolationism.
