tapes label. 2 first tapes have NEVER been sold in public, and 3 other

collages, listen to sound of Incapacitants who since 1981 has delivered

Magicicada is the musical life of Atlanta musician/sound
designer/photographer, Christopher White. “Everyone is Everyone” is an
organic, experimental work that blends traditional, as well as folk and
eastern, instruments with found objects, samplers and field recordings
to create a work that varies from delicate, cinematic soundscapes to
harsh electronic environments. The instrumentation includes (but is not
limited to): pump organ, voice, contact mics on faulty electrical lines,
melodica, toys, iron balls rolling on wooden floors, accordion,
cellophane, air cans, tape decks for the blind, guitar, shruti box,
MARTA (Atlanta’s public transit), synths, oven door (percussion,)
cellos, zurna, paper, frogs in the backyard, and the remains of
Hurricane Denis shaking the roof.

SLEEPING PICTURES: NETHER EDGE, CD

Sleeping Pictures is the ongoing musical project of Marc Blackie
(Defacato, Ophedia, Disappointed Virginity) - [Vocals/Lyrics] and Gary
Parsons (Static, Bestinality) - [Guitar and other instruments]. The year
1995 saw both Blackie and Parsons lurking at the time within the lower
regions of South London. A meeting of minds was bound to occur and thus
it did, the pair being brought together by mutual acquaintances on the
basis of their interest in difficult and downright obscure areas of
music, art and literature. Both had previously played and performed with
a number of bands, so the idea of a collaboration was struck upon and
Sleeping Pictures where formed in the summer of that year. Gathering
their composure, the two began creating the now obligatory
experimental/industrial/"call it what you will" noises using whatever
came to hand, whilst not flicking through obscure literature and tapping
their feet to unpopular records. Blackie busied himself with electronics
and occasional vocal duties whilst Parsons
used and abused various household items and musical instruments. A
collaboration with wandering minstrel, medieval re-enactor and one time
Cindytalk member Steven Scutt, saw the music taking on a more musical
and lyrical flavour and the violin arrangements added by one time member
Renée Rosen (Sol Invictus) led to a live performance supporting
Shockheaded Peters and Knifeladder.

Now a song based outfit, as opposed to their first more experimental
incarnation, Blackie took on the vocal and lyrical duties whilst Parsons
began to compose a wide range of music taking in all manner of
contradictory and at the same time complimentary influences and
inspirations. To celebrate the transition, a number of tracks were
recorded at Matt Howden's Red Room studio, leading to requests for
contributions to compilation albums and further collaborative work with
the likes of Tony Wakeford, John Murphy, Hunter Barr, Lloyd James and
Dan Knowler. To this day, two CDs have been released, both in limited
numbers. Backwords consisted of out-takes and live performances and Life
Discounted was a taster of material from Nether Edge. This long delayed
debut album, largely recorded at London's Retina II studios is planned
for release in early 2003 with material for the next album already being
written. Sleeping Pictures have also recorded "The Killing Tide" for the
recent Sol Invitus tribute album and
"Girls and Dogs" for a soon to be released Scott Walker tribute.

STILL: REMAINS, CD

Dälek Turntablist, Still (Hsi-Chang Lin) goes solo and unleashes a dark
ambient masterpiece that borders on sonic terrorism. Created using only
Technics 1200's and an array of effects pedals, Still's REMAINS is not a
"turntablist" record in the traditional sense. Drawing from (and adding
to) the history of alternative turntable use, REMAINS is an ambient
record whose textures at times run side by side with the work of PHILLIP
JECK or APHEX TWIN. Two laborious years were put into the 35 minutes
that comprise the album. Each track was painstakingly mapped out and
played live in the studio. Opening with aggressive noise and evolving
into delicate ambience, REMAINS supersedes the preconceived range of the
turntable, infusing emotion into an otherwise inhuman instrument.

wraps around the jewel case and seals in the back.

The Psychic Paramount here is a power trio in the traditional rock
format (guitar, bass, drums) recorded live at performances in Paris,
Lyon, Perpignan, and Napoli in Nov./Dec. of 2002. The group, going on
tour less than one week after their first meeting, is captured at birth
in raw immediate form. Predicating experiments with the authority of
sound and primitive revival upon a rock 'n' roll platform, the music
seeks to evoke a sense of urgency and a release from the banal. A
document of turbulent emergency music grinding its entrance. All tracks
originally recorded to cassette live using one stereo microphone.
