* PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT *
Musician/Recording Artist Hunter Payne
Provides Darfur Humanitarian Assistance
In addition to Musician/Recording Artist Hunter
Payne's past compact disc production for the
tsunami survivors, his organization has also
been actively working to stop Darfur genocide
through bringing attention regarding it to the
general public.
So influential are the organization's efforts that
a continually expanding group of NBA players
that includes; Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher,
Steve Nash, Grant Hill, Tracy McGrady, Baron
Davis, and Ira Newble.
These players and others have taped a series of
public service announcements which ESPN have
already launched.
With the conflict in Darfur having become
bloody once again, today, 80%-90% of villages
in Darfur are in ashes, between 200,000 and
450,000 thousand people have been slaughtered,
mutilated, raped (very often gang-raped), and
an incredible 2.5 million remain displaced. And,
the atrocities are continuing into their sixth
year.
Recently, an article about Hunter and his
organization's work with the NBA players
appeared on the front page of the New York
Times Sports Section.

Hunter says, "Our mission is to spread the word
on the Darfur conflict, inspire people to act to
end it, and to help restore the lives of the
people there. Right now, you can help us in a
very impactful way by forwarding this email to
all of your lists - including your email address
book, MySpace and FaceBook to encourage
people to become involved. The situation in
Darfur is awful. If we join together, we can
affect lasting change. Aid is still required.
Please visit this page to see how to stop rape
in Darfur today and prepare to rebuild the lives
of the victims in the near future.
