Request For R&B/Contemporary Urban Recording Artist   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #27 of 289 |
In the June issue of the B# Newsletter, I mentioned that
I have recently accepted the position(s) of Chief Operating
Officer/Dir. of Mktg. with a new Houston-based record label.

This label is, particularly, unique in that it will work
with artists on a project-by-project basis.

Another quality is that, though a "start-up," the label's
capital funding is already budgeted at approximately
$600,000, an amount rarely seen with new independent
labels.

As such, we are currently seeking an artist in order to
meet our initial release date of January, 2001.

In the interest of foregoing valuable in-house production
time, we are seeking an artist who has, at least, a
completed studio recording which includes a mixdown
to D.A.T., although it is not necessary to have gone as
far as manufacturing compact discs in the process.

This particular artist, which can be a "solo" or "group,"
male or female, should also contain the following
attributes:

* Be between the ages of 17-30

* Possess a professionally produced recording in the
R&B/Contemporary Urban genres

* Recording must contain, at least, 10 selections

* Artist must have a history of verifiable live performances

* Artist must possess charisma, a strong, salable visual
presence, an even temperament, pleasant outgoing
personality and, above all, top-notch talent

If you have these qualifications, or am familiar with an
artist who has these qualifications, please contact me at
mailto:kenlove@....

A version of this notice will also be posted to various
music discussion lists. In advance, please accept my
apology if you receive it once more.

Your assistance and understanding is sincerely appreciated.
