Hi everyone,
Welcome to all the new folks on the list!
I will list the dates first, then a quick hello and catch-up.

making acoustic instruments sound GREAT when plugged in (including mine)!
It
will be me and my buddy Jennifer Kimball splitting the night with our
bands
and singing together!
Best of all, it's FREE (thanks, Fishman) My friends Bob Malone and Shecky
will be sitting in, along with my wonderful band Phil Antoniades on drums,
Jeff St. Pierre on bass and Thomas Juliano on guitar.

Sunday, August 13th

Malone, Caroline Aiken, Kristian Bush, Matthew Kahler, Sam Shaber and

Saturday, August 19th 8pm
The Valley Players Theater, Route 100, Waitsfield VT
802-496-8910
This will be a split bill with our friend Todd Thibaud (another stop on
our
Two Songwriters, One Band tour) and is part of some big arts festival
going
on there then. The radio stations WGDR and WNCS already have my new record
and are spinning it and talking about the show - feel free to phone in
requests!!! 877 FMPOINT or WGDR at 802-454-7762.
Thanks for all the inquiries regarding the Midwest tour mid-September.
Dates
are being worked out for Cleveland, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Louisville,
Terre
Haute, Champaign, Omaha, Chicago, Ann Arbor, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia.
The record, "Barbara Kessler," is being distributed nationally starting
the
end of August and sent to radio starting this week. Even if club dates
aren't
booked, I will most likely be visiting many more areas to perform
in-stores
and radio interviews. I will update my website and this list as things
come
together.
Response to the record has been so positive, I'm very excited to finally
be
"officially releasing" it. Already, the track "Bridge Mix" has been used
in
the national daytime television drama "Passions." How weird is that. I
love
it, though I've never seen the show... Oh, and recently I was informed at
a
show (thanks John, Debbie, and Emily!) that my song "Take a Ride" was
featured on NPR's car talk! Now that I was bummed to miss -- and I'm a
regular Click and Clack fan.
Soon there will be BK Sampler Singles available to send to friends if
you'd
like when you order my CD at my website or at www.cdfreedom.com. It will
include a couple of tracks from my previous two albums as well as a couple
of
new ones from Barbara Kessler. (That's the odd thing about a self-titled
release, you have to keep saying your own name.) You can also order at
1-800-937-3397.
I feel there are other things I wanted to tell you, but it's so late and
so
much to do in order to ACTUALLY get all this done. I appreciate having
understanding supporters like you! Especially those of you in my
year-that-never-ends Singles Club - a new CD will be going out shortly
(some
surprises on it) and no, you don't need to send any new subscription
money.
Looking forward to sharing more music with you, enjoy the rest of summer!
Stay well,
bk

"Barbara Kessler returns with one of the best records this year! If there
was
a Lillith Fair this year, Barbara would be on the main stage!"
Rob Reinhart, host of Acoustic Cafe
"On her pop-catchy, folk-smart new CD, she wanders between intimate
reflection and wry, girlish reminiscence, sung in an airy voice brimming
with
personality." Scott Alarik, The Boston Globe
