Hi Everybody,
First, sorry for the confusion. Due to the last-minute nature of my
previous e-mail update, my husband Phil rushed it out for me without
double-checking my schedule - he said the July show would be my last
Boston area appearance. In fact, I have 3 more shows on the books before
taking my 2nd-Child Sabbatical.
Second, I wanted to let you all know about the CD sale in plenty of time
for you early Holiday Shoppers (ha!) All BK CD's are only $10 (actually,
$9.99!) and if you want to pick up all 4 titles including the CD re-master
of my original full-length cassette recording "Live," you can do so for
$30 at www.cdfreedom.com or 1-800-937-3397.
Next, the schedule:
Saturday September 15th 8m Club Passim, Harvard Square 617-492-7679.
With our buddy Jeff Cohen of Pancho's Lament as special guest opener. His
song "Truth About Romeo" is the theme to the tv show Jack and Jill, and he
co-wrote the Evan and Jaron hit "Crazy For This Girl." Super nice guy and
great songs.
Saturday October 13th 8pm South Church, 292 State St., Portsmouth NH
603-436-4762 (or contact greenmolly@...).
This show is a benefit and will feature our buddy Todd Thibaud as special
guest opener; another super-nice-guy and great-songwriter and wicked funny
too. We will be sharing our awesome band and singing together a bit too.
Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at Bull Moose Music in Portsmouth,
Stroudwater Books in Dover, Water Street Books in Exeter, Brooks Pharmacy
in Durham, or the South Church office. Here is a word from the folks at
South Church:
"South Church affirms the worth and dignity of all people. South Church is
a place where we bring our rich diversity of experience together in quest
for meaning and connection. Ours is a relational faith and though we may
think differently, we walk together, we work together and play together.
The South Church Concert Series 2001 is a nonprofit fund-raising effort.
100 percent of proceeds generated from these concerts will be donated to
the general operating fund of South Church."
Saturday November 17th 8pm Circle Of Friends Coffeehouse, Franklin MA
508-528-2541.
Daryl Purpose, OK, yes, another super-sweet guy with great songs, and A
Past (come and find out...) will be sharing the bill with me.
Lastly, it's been great hearing from some of you from time to time. I
appreciate all the notes and inquiries about whether I'll be visiting your
town anytime soon, and in some ways am very sad I won't be. I will try to
keep in touch however, and will make a serious effort to stay somewhat
more current at the website. I continue to have songs included now and
again on tv and possibly some upcoming movies and so maybe you'll hear me
out there haunting you anyway! Also, a couple of the new songs I've
co-written have received some very cool publishing interest, so who knows,
you may hear my words in someone else's voice someday soon, perhaps with a
Nashville twang. As I turn my intention toward nesting this coming fall
and winter season, I wish for all of you the comfort, joy, sense of
purpose, and the tiny flutter
of Life inside (metaphorically in any case!) that I am feeling now at this
wonderful time.
Hope to see some of you out there!
Be well, and keep in touch.
Barbara
