UNBELIEVABLE night in Somerville!!! Changes in the set were Gilded Cage,
Loreley, FMac's Rhiannon!!! (WOW), The Circle!!!, and they closed with Village
Lanterne. All were just AMAZING!!! The magic and memories continue...NYC
tomorrow...

As most of you have read on the Blackmore's Night web site, Ritchie and Candice
have very exciting news. They have named their new CD - Autumn Sky which was
inspired by the newest Blackmore, their daughter, Autumn Esmerelda.  We are so
excited for them and wish them all many years of health and happiness!
Today they posted a picture on their site - she is absolutely beautiful!

Guitar legend Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night Feenstimme are back on tour
with her band Blackmore's Night, they delight this summer and fall of the German

This means: With the band touring the globe, in hotels live, work in studios. On
the other hand, you emphasize how important it is for them to live healthy. How
do you reconcile both? What's your "secret"?

Ritchie Blackmore: If we are touring, it's very important for us that we
schedule days off and rest. We also do not typical of some bands 'autopilot'
performances and always play the same old songs down in precisely one hour and
30 minutes. If we look fresh and feel good, we sometimes play up to four hours.

Candice Night: For both of us all goes hand in hand. We surround ourselves with
things that we feel comfortable that inspire us. We are not a couple that is
fascinated by debauchery. We enjoy the simple things in life: fresh air, fields,
flowers, with animals and nature to spend. All this renewed us again and again -
and this in turn allows us to be creative. So we can write new songs and lyrics.
Healthy living, inspiration from the world of nature and what we create is a
never-ending cycle.

WWF: With Blackmore's Night, you make the Renaissance to life. They both play
several old instruments. Is that also a kind of "back to nature"?

Blackmore: Yes. The old instruments that we play and we are interested, swing,
so to speak with nature. The Nyckel Harpa or keyed fiddle, the hurdy-gurdy,
bagpipes, shawm and as are the sound of the Renaissance. They are made of wood
and yet so organic in its sound, they reflect the fact that a lot of our natural
environment.

Night: For me, certain music of the Renaissance something like the soundtrack of
nature. When you walk through the woods and they hear it, they go together very
well. Therefore, the music we hear and we make a kind of return in this natural
world. Contemporary music, however, fits much better in an urban environment.

WWF: How do you prefer to enjoy nature - for example, walk or just sit and
meditate?

Blackmore: I watch that every day I walk through the forest. I find it
incredibly cleansing to be in the middle of a forest or running across a field.
For tours, we make sure that we do not appear possible in the middle of cities,
but close to parks or fields, so that we have the opportunity to take long walks
and enjoy the surroundings.

Night: I think the nature shows us every day miracles. But so many people are
too busy to notice it and appreciate. Feel the wind in your hair feel a hundred
year old tree bark or listen to the sound of the sea. There is a feeling of
freedom, of openness. At the same time this is one mystery that only reveals the
nature. Each step forward brings a new perspective on nature - whether it is a
sunset or a field of fireflies at night. The beauty of nature surrounds us all
year - to look if you choose.

WWF: They support the WWF for many years now. Was there a trigger for it?

Night: We have worked globally with a number of different animal welfare
organizations. We work not only with local offices in the area, but also with
larger organizations that have the attention and power to help on a larger level
and far away, where threatened species and environment need help most urgently.
What we value, among other things, the WWF so much respect for earth and
environment is just like the animals. Both improve is close to our hearts and we
will do what we can to find animals and habitats in need more help and
attention.

WWF: This year you again support the Tiger campaign by the WWF. For a particular
reason?

Night People threaten these extraordinary creatures and their habitats, often in
barbaric ways. Shall we stop this madness, we must stop the people who perform
it. We must stop forest destruction and establish protected areas like national
parks for the animals where they are safe.
We are here to create awareness, to raise money and give a voice to those who
can not speak for themselves.

WWF: If you were a big decision - what would you do first to save the planet?

Blackmore: I would like to invent something that humanity saved from having to
listen to hip-hop music.

Night: I would like to invent something that people feel responsible for their
actions in future. Maybe we could finally some of the demolitions that have been
committed, make amends and species in its collection. To achieve this in reality
is a huge project. But every journey begins with one small step. If we all go
that little step, then we can certainly progress. And I very much hope ...
