David,
D.M. is a live bootleg from 1982. All information is
available on the Blind Youth site. Basically, it's a
crappy live bootleg, but has historical value. Mine is
#662 btw.
What am I supposed to do? Wait forever for the chance
of an official release? I would love to have a legal,
cleaned up, listenable copy on cd or dvd.
But the Man (The Men?) is keeping us down.
What ever happened to the 12" collection promised by
Virgin some years back??? So I record my 12" singles
onto a cd. So what! I own it and I'm not selling it to
anyone. I still search for old cd singles on ebay.
They are so hard to find and very expensive. Who's
making money on that transaction? Virgin? Phil? NO!
Some greedy fucker who doesn't care about the music,
only a profit. Oh yeah, ebay and the postal service
too!
I am SO tired of these record companies screaming
about lost profits. The solution: make all of the
recordings available. Sell it in a store or let me
legally download.
I don't like downloading from Audiogalaxy (takes too
long!), but it is the only way to repair or replace my
collection. I download very little music I don't
currently own, but it would take forever for me to
transfer everything from vinyl.
Anyone ever seen a copy of 'Honeymoon in New York' on
cd? I haven't. And my 12" still plays well.
I figured I have ranted too long.
I am waiting for the compilation! How long will this
take?
Cheers,
Billy
