As some of you may know in my spare time I am also the publicity person for the SW Pickers as well as for the Nob Hillbillies.  I just wanted to let you know of a great event happening this week!  The Southwest Traditional and Bluegrass Music Association, aka SW Pickers is pleased to present 'The Steep Canyon Rangers' a hot 'up and coming' Bluegrass group from NC.  The "Pickers"  have had these young men perform at their festival in Santa Fe for two years running and they're coming back through Albuquerque on a western tour for a one night only performance on their way to the Durango Meltdown.  They have been asked to play at Merlefest this year which is a great honor for them.  Merlefest has featured greats such as Emmylou Harris, John Prine, Allison Krauss, Rhonda Vincent.  This year the festival is featuring  Emmylou, John Cowan, George Hamilton IV, Nickel Creek, Eliza Gilkyson,  and The Dillards (you may remember them as The Darling Family on Andy Griffith show)
