These classes are designed for pre-teens through adults with disabilities. The instructor, Carolyn Failla, will teach participants how to "make" music using African drums, shakers and various musical instruments based on her experiences studying West African music. Participants will work within their comfort and ability levels while exploring rhythm and movement. By working as a team to create music, the therapeutic benefits of this class include increasing one's social skills; learning rhythm; and improving coordination, concentration, listening skills and posture ... the benefits are endless!
