This group is a placeholder to replace the old BostonFolk discussion list, which existed for a number of years up until 2006 or so, when it was taken over by one of the moderators and renamed.

The role of this group is currently being served by the discussion list NorthEastFolk@NorthEastfolk.org, which is an open, uncensored, list for announcements and discussion of anything related to Folk Music (in the broadest sense of the term) in the Northeast US - centered around the Boston area but extending thorough NE, to the mid-Atlantic region.
