Description

This forum is for anybody that is into building Cigar Box Guitars, or any kind of handmade instruments. Beginner, or professional luthiers, we are here to talk about successes and failures, share ideas, and network with other builders. This forum is a friendly place where all skill levels are welcomed. This forum will foster an atmosphere where anyone can come to show their work, and their experiences.

Don't let the name fool you! Though the primary focus is about hand made instruments, the next logical step is playing them so please feel free to post your performaces as well.

The featured Cigar Box Guitar picture is from Matte Resist, a member of our forum. Matte's build starts with a Davidoff box. It has a tuna can resonator, but instead of having it upside down, it is right side up with a very tall bridge. This was his first time doing f-holes, and as you can see, they turned out nice. The headstock is sharp too, as it is laminated with a section from another cigar box. Great job Matte!
