The next Collective Soul album is coming along just fine and in the final stages.

Producer Anthony J. Resta has been assisting on the album. "Ed Roland actually produced the album, it is in its final stages of recording and I'm just doing a little additional / post production on it....It's so good! One of their best" he tells Undercover News.

Resta compares the album to some of their classic past. "It is like a cross between
the 2nd and 4th with great songs. Ed's lyrics are at an all-time level of originality and craft". That second album 'Collective Soul' featured the hits 'The World I Know', 'Gel' and 'Where The River Flows'. The forth one had 'December', 'Listen' and 'Forgiveness. "He keeps on growing as a writer" he adds.

It's been a smooth recording session. "The whole atmosphere in the studio is one of fun and creativity and positive feelings. I've never seen them in better spirits" he says.

Anthony is a veteran of Collective Soul recordings. "This is the third album I've been lucky enough to work on in 5 years. It will be all done by the beginning of October at the latest, maybe even two weeks sooner".

The next Collective Soul will be the band's first album since leaving Atlantic Records. At this stage they are planning an Indie release.
