Hi,the Aesthetics have released one of their Melbourne gigs on
mp3.com.au. Pretty messed up show, hence it's title 'dead in
Melbourne' ,but it warms up near the end. It's obvious here that we
were fatigued by travel. The sound isn't that 'dynamic', it could've
been better, but you get the idea. The performance approach was
kinda aloof...a 'throwaway' aesthetic...

well, its warming up here in Dunedin finally. In CRUDE news, well,
if yer ever actually in Dunedin and looking for CRUDE your first
stop should be RECORDS RECORDS on Stuart street. They got an
exclusive deal with CRUDE and are the sole stockists. You can order
titles there simply by talking to the new owners, Patrick Faigan
[Space Dust fame] and Emily Harris. By all means, spend up large
there. Lots of vintage records, lots of contemporary stuff. If they
get a new site I'll post it here. Another option for scoring Cd-rs
is the up-coming Dunedin Markets, lower Octagon on
Saturdays/sundays. Yep, CRUDE got a little stall with which to
peddle me wares. The markets start November, and run indefinately.
I'll have audio cds, data cds, catalogues, and hope to branch out
into t-shirts, pamphlets and other stuff. Could be the beginning of
some ACTUAL sales of FLESHY CARBON moleculed cd hold-in-yer-hand-
aktion.
also,I've altered the mp3 site and have taken a bunch of songs down
and put a couple of newish pieces like 'Downcoverter'
[http://www.mp3.com.au/track.asp?id=115493] and 'The Transaction'
The site and it's E-shop is still a way off sorry; Morgan Oliver
Dunedin Polyech Art School Honcho is helping me with this outta the
goodness of his big heart and hes a busy man. Meantime I'll let the
group into the who I've chosen for e-shop software. Heres the link.

Can anyone tell me, with the advent of free material, is it now
simply 'uncool' to charge for a download?
well fuck it I will charge. I've been giving shit away since 2000
and I can only imagine how many people have a Crude stash while I
get kiwi well-to-dos glaring at me like I'm scum of the Earth while
i buy cheap highs for relief from the aeconomic prison I'm in.
Okay now I'm rambling.
One last thing - found a great band online today, 'An Audience on
None' - amazing drone!!! : http://www.mp3.com.au/artist.asp?id=20431
