Hey Matt,
Just kidding 'bout the godfather bit, but I get sick of all that talk of Knox being
the godfather of NZ's alternative music scene, etc. I do think if there were a
godfather, it should be Phil Judd, even if for nothing else but that masterpiece
"Under the Wheel," which I think has been a huge phantom influence on much
NZ music that came later, well, the good stuff anyway.
Seriously, the guy's got a great new album together but no label backing it so far.
It's the best stuff he's done since his days with the Enz, y'know before he left
that group and they became total shit.
