No man its cool, no doubt Phil Judd is under-appreciated. I haven't heard much myself but will endevour to get some early stuff. So obviously he contributed certain songs to Split Enz..what are some good examples. Must seek out 'Under the Wheel' ..can you name some other underghround influences here that are overlooked you reckon...bill direen? scorched earth policy? shoes this high?

Hey Matt,Just kidding 'bout the godfather bit, but I get sick of all that talk of Knox beingthe godfather of NZ's alternative music scene, etc. I do think if there were agodfather, it should be Phil Judd, even if for nothing else but that masterpiece"Under the Wheel," which I think has been a huge phantom influence on muchNZ music that came later, well, the good stuff anyway.Seriously, the guy's got a great new album together but no label backing it so far. It's the best stuff he's done since his days with the Enz, y'know before he leftthat group and they became total shit. Here's a new video Judd's done. You need quicktime 7I think you'll like the song and the "Fire Extinguisher" one I mentioned.I'm Electric Elf on myspace -- I joined when I heard Judd was joining.Good to see you on there.-RodIn a message dated 11/26/2005 10:34:58 P.M.
