Just recently on FIDDLE-L, a list for fiddlers (most of them appear
to be professional) someone posted this address for folks to have a
look see
<http://www.thinkprogress.org/katrina-timeline>

After reading what is posted at that address someone else demanded
"Who in this narrative plays the fiddle??"

A reply came back from the original poster that read,
"Nero."

Laura and Jeremy Rice have one of the best dance spots in the Northeast --
the Eagles Hall in Ossining, NY. This funky little dance space is a
100-year-old former church that features a brand-new hardwood dance floor,
air-conditioning and a full bar. On Saturday, April 8 at 8:00 PM, Jeremy
and Laura welcome River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs back to Ossining. The
Eagles Hall is located at 7 Old Albany Post Road in Ossining, and is minutes
from Ossining and Croton-Harmon train stations (for those coming up from
NYC). For directions or info, call 914-528-7612.

The largest and hottest Zydeco dance scene on the East coast is in the
Philadelphia area, and the epicenter of this scene is the TK Club in
Conshohocken, PA. On Friday April 14 at 8:30 PM, The Hogs hit the stage at
the TK for the first time. Allons Danser has run a regular dance series at
the TK for years, and River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs are thrilled to be
invited to play in Philly. The TK Club is located at East Hector & Apple
Streets in Conshohocken, PA, minutes from downtown Philly. For directions
or info, call 610-828-9352. http://www.allonsdanser.org/
