What is the Canterbury Scene? It was a Progressive Rock sub-genre that spawned in Canterbury, Kent, England during the late 1960's & most of the 1970's. The music consisted of intricate & complex structures & improvisation dervrived from jazz along with a sense of dry British Humor in the lyrics!

I created this page for all the Canterbury fans, this is my favorite Progressive Rock sub-genre & want to expose it a bit more.
