The Ancient Harmonious Society of Woodshedders, Inc. (AHSOW) welcomes
you to visit the Miami Room of the headquarters Omni Hotel at the upcoming
Jacksonville Mid-Winter Convention.
With AHSOW, you can indulge in authentic ear-harmonizing and more.
AHSOW has many free and for-purchase tools for your personal musical
development and your chapter's benefit. You'll leave neither empty-handed
nor unsung!
Your Jacksonville AHSOW room will be formally staffed by Wednesday,
January 26 after dinnertime. To quote O.C. Cash, hours each night will run
"until the Tenors drop in their tracks."

All AHSOW members are reminded of an important roundtable in Jacksonville:
DAY: Thursday, 27 January 2005
TIME: 8:15 a.m.
ROOM: Miami Room, Omni Hotel (HQ)
EVENT: AHSOW "SWOT" Caucus.
"SWOT" stands for "successes, weaknesses, opportunities, threats."
Earlier, all AHSOW members were asked to submit one-line contributions
under each category. Several hundred one-liners were received! The input
period is now closed so that the contributions can be massaged into a
comprehensive document.
The AHSOW "SWOT" Caucus is open to all AHSOW members attending the
Mid-Winter. It's a chance to discuss in group format how to dispel
threats, minimize weaknesses, capitalize on opportunities, and enhance
strengths. The excellent Glenn Schilberg, AHSOW's Information Manager,
will act as facilitator of the Caucus.
---
More specialized, yet no less stimulating, is a subsequent roundtable:
DAY: Friday, 28 January 2005
TIME: 8:30 a.m.
ROOM: Miami Room, Omni Hotel (HQ)
EVENT: AHSOW DEC Powwow.
"DEC" stands for District Educator & Certifier.
The AHSOW DEC program comprises excellent, talented men who wish to
promote AHSOW on the District and chapter levels. They recognize that
authentic ear-singing is the core of Barbershopping, and that regular
participation results in enhanced musical skills plus retention of members
in the Barbershop Society.
This Powwow will include discussion of SWOT items. It's open to DEC
members AND to good ear-harmonizers (AHSOW members) who wish to be
considered for appointment to the DEC program. If you're not an AHSOW
member, we can fix that part of it upon demonstration of your ear-skills
and instincts in Jacksonville. Contact Toban Dvoretzky at TBone @
selec.net [close the spaces] by Tues. 1/25 with your interest.

Your Jacksonville AHSOW room is a destination, not an option. See you there!
