* = qualified on all three harmony parts + "woodshed" melody. (Note: Some
men may not possess Tenor or Bass vocal range, but they are outstanding
woodshedders on the voice-parts within their range.)
Three more men were reinstated administratively: Doug Arrington (NM),
Toby Balsley (MA), and Jonathan Spangler (HI).
Adding additional voice-parts to those on which they had already
qualified were these current AHSOW members:
*Kendall Foreman (Hawaii)
*Robert Lenoil (California)
*Shawn Thomas (Ohio). All three are now four-parters.
Please congratulate all of these gentlemen on their abilities to
harmonize to melodies by ear without referring to written or familiar
arrangements. (These accomplishments merit mention in chapter and District
newsletters, too!)
Your next chance to indulge in authentic woodshedding will be at
Harmony College 2005. AHSOW's ear-singing haven is expected to be the
HOUCK DORMITORY LOUNGE. We do not know how big this lounge will be, so be
prepared for changes on-site and/or to scramble if necessary -- sometimes
part of the thrill of AHSOW at conventions and functions!
The outstanding Ken Wheeler, AHSOW Hall of Fame member and JAD
District Educator & Certifier, is expected to supervise all activities.
He'll be assisted by AHSOW Information Manager Glenn Schilberg.
At Harmony College, woodshed with highest quality, with abandon, and
until the Tenors drop in their tracks!
