Here’s some more news from HQ on status of Systems, processes, etc.  District folks, in an effort to simply keep everyone informed, please get this out as far and wide as you can to every member. This is a great opportunity to continue to connect and show your support to our members.

 

We’d be most appreciative if you will send these updates to your chapters OR to every member of your districts… that’s ultimately who we want receiving the information.  Not simply Chapter secretaries who don’t check email or forget to forward it to chapters!  Attached is the current PDF update on steps and processes.

Membership Updates:

·        Our online EBIZ system continues to develop every day.  We have new updates happening quickly, and improvements are being made on what content is already there. Please check back often to see if what you have been wishing for has appeared.

·        CHAPTER OFFICERS show BLANK if your chapter secretary has not entered the officers prior to January 31.  If you need help getting the secretary added for a chapter, and subsequently need guidance on adding the remainder of your officers yourself, please contact membership@....  

·        We are aware… that we have sent out a few new member kits to the wrong members.  Some who receive them have been simply renewal members (of 27 or 32 years!), but our IT system fixes are coming quickly for this problem.  This is NOT a wide spread issue, but if you have erroneously received a new member kit, when you only needed a member’s new Membership Card, please contact us at membership@....

·        We are “in with the new” and “out with the old” – on almost everything related to Membership & Chapter administrative tasks.  Almost everything is available on Ebiz for Chapter Management, but there are still some functions not yet available on Ebiz.  https://ebiz.barbershop.org

·        Feel like Nobody’s Listening?  We assure you we are.  The messages are so voluminous that we may not be able to reply to every single comment you have, but please rest assured we ARE listening, and in fact your help is very much appreciated.  It’s precisely because of your feedback that some fixes have been able to happen so quickly.  Keep the constructive suggestions coming!

 

 

Music Updates:  

·        ONLINE CJ-20 forms… are working.  For NOW, the page on the old members only system is working in integration with our new system.  However, nothing else on the old Members Only site is working with live data.  We hope to have this rolled over onto Ebiz very quickly, but for now, it works fine, and it simply in another place.  Registrations ARE being processed, and if you receive an e-mail error, fear not… your registration has gone through.  To register quartet/chorus competition info, go to:  https://secure.spebsqsa.org/members/login.asp - After entering Members Only, choose Contest Entry (CJ-20) under the heading Contest and Judging Community.
