CELTIC MUSIC SURVIVORS OF MP3.COM--WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
I recently had a couple emails asking about this and that band
that once was on MP3.com. I haven't had time to search out all
their free MP3s, but I went to the top independent CD stores

CELTIC BAND FEATURE #1

"On This Hill" by Nigel and Lea
When Nigel moved to Mene in the Cotes d'Armor region of Brittany
France, he became familar with the Celtic legends and sites that
abound in the region. It awoke the memories of his own celtic
roots. This inspired Nigel to compose music based on the Celtic
legends. Nigel met Lea and found she had a natural feeling and
understanding for his music.
Their first CD, "Head in the Clouds" yielded this beautiful song,
"On This Hill" where you can hear a bit of the Celtic, New Age,
and folk qualities of their music.
Hometown: Saint Brieuc (France)
Similiar Celtic Artists: Incredible String Band, Burt Janze,

CELTIC CD FEATURE
=========================
"Jighead Wood" by The King's Irish
I've done you all a Great disservice! I received a promotional
copy of The King's Irish a couple years ago. I just found it and
listened to it. Wow!
King's Irish has brought together some of the Salt Lake areas best
musicians to form a unique Celtic-Rock band that has been gaining
popularity. King's Irish plays a fun combination of originals
songs, Irish jigs, and an occassional cover song performed in a
unique "Celtic Metal" way that only King's Irish can do.
With King's Irish, you get a sprinkling of rock, blues, and jazz
with Celtic roots. And if you're a fan of Jethro Tull, you'll
absolutely flip with this album. A touch of Tull style vocals
done in thier own unique, and awesome way!

Yes. I was robbed!
But I finally got my CD/MP3 player. I stopped off at Walmart
and picked up the RCA RP2478 Portable CD/MP3 Player with SmarTrax.
It has a mid-range price smooth functionality. I like the easy
of use of the player. The reviews on Amazon.com place it at
mediocre as a player, but it's served me quite well in my car
as I listen to my collection of Celtic MP3s.

Last week, I ordered the rest of the serious kitchen CDs
from their website. In general, I don't prefer to order
music from overseas websites, but I made an exception,
because this is, IMHO, one of the best Celtic music groups
today who smoothly fuse traditional Celtic music with
contemporary finesses. They are amazing.
