CELTIC MUSIC NEWS
=========================
Greetings Celtic Music Lovers,
It is another busy summer for your favorite editor of the
Celtic MP3s Music Magazine (okay, you're only editor...;)
While I am happily enjoying living in New Orleans, I really
didn't want to be there for the heat and humidity. So I've
been highly successful at avoiding the summer heat as I spend
my summer on tour.
I'll tell you more about that in a minute. But first a special
notice.
HOW TO GET CELTIC MP3s THROUGH THIS MAGAZINE
I had an email the other day from a guy asking how to download
the free MP3s I offer in this magazine. It is excellent question
that I thought I would address here.
You will note that this email newsletter does not offer direct
links to any MP3s. To access those, you must visit the website,
either subscribe to the feed or head down to "Celtic CD Reviews
and MP3 Downloads" and click the link. The blog that you will
find there offers a mix of Celtic CD reviews and MP3 downloads.
Pretty simple. However, the posts have not always been.
To help you distinguish which is which, the reviews are all listed
as "Review:" followed by the album and artist name.
So for example, the lastest review posted reads:
Review: "Don't Count Me Out" by Kevin Flynn & The Avondale Ramblers
Now the MP3s were not so clear in the past. So for now on, I'm
doing the same to them so that the latest MP3 download now reads:
MP3: "The Wanderer" by Anois
Below the subject is a wee bit of information about the artist
along with a bolded link to the artist website, CD from which the
song comes, and the song title preceded by "Download MP3:". Just
right-click and save the MP3 to your hard drive and you are ready
to go.
Now the goal of the magazine is to update you with the latest
news and updates from the magazine, podcast, occasional Celtic
music news, plus some of the stuff I am busy with at the moment.
I hope that helps you better access the great information at your
fingertips, because we are changing the way you hear Celtic music.

2009. So keep an ear open for some special features to come.
LIVE CELTIC PODCAST AT DRAGONCON 2009
Once again, I am performing at DragonCon, one of the largest
Science Fiction conventions in the world. But THAT'S NOT ALL.
I am also scheduled to host a LIVE Irish & Celtic Music Podcast.
If you enjoy my hugely successful podcast, you can now come out
and see and hear me live along with several Celtic music groups
as I play more of the great Celtic music you love.
ATTN BANDS: I am currently looking for Celtic groups who might
be interested in playing a song or two live. Space is limited.
So drop me a line asap if you are interested.

much so that I have several Celtic Invasion Vacations planned for

website and follow the directions. But more detials will come soon.

- Women of Ireland, September, 2010
CELTIC MUSIC IN THE GRAMMIES?
http://www.grammy.com/
I was chatting with Celtic harpist Anne Roos recently about the
fact that there is no Celtic category in the Grammies. What a
shame!
If you listen to my podcast, you know there is too much great
Celtic music NOT to have it's own category. I want to see that
change.
Tell your favorite Celtic music group to submit their new albums
to the Grammies. If we can show them that we have a strong base,
we will get our much deserved category.
Head to Grammy.com and let's make a change! The deadline to submit
is July 31, 2009.
AND while you're in the submitting mood, make sure you submit
your bands new music to the Celtic MP3s Music Magazine.
If your favorite artist hasn't been played, then email them
and ask them to submit too.
