"Thanks so much for the mention of Mouth Music's 'Seafaring Man'.
Sometimes I have a problem getting to the music so I ordered it
on your advice and it's wonderful. Thanks, keep up the good
work!" -Kristin

Wow! "Celtic MP3s: Song of the Week" has been topping the
World/Folk Station charts on MP3.com thanks to your dedicated
listening. And to keep things interesting and fresh, I rotated
some songs and brough back some old reviews. The station now
features the latest reviews and about twenty other songs, all
fully downloadable. Keep listening and tell remember to tell your
friends about Celtic MP3s.com.

On another note, Andrew and I played Cafe Mundi last night here
in Austin, Texas and you know I'm really amazed by how many
people are showing up to our gigs saying, "Yeah, I heard the
Brobdingnagian Bards on MP3.com". The numbers are growing! We
really appreciate all your support. If you want to see us perform
we'll be at the Houston Highland Games this weekend and back at
Cafe Mundi in a few weeks. Visit http://thebards.net/shows/ for
more details.

See ye next week!

2. Amadan - "Johnny Jump Up-The Swallowtail Jig"
http://mp3.com/Amadan?cm
=================================================

Amadán is Irish Gaelic for madness, or the fool…perhaps it
should be plural! The band consists of five college students
hailing from across the country, collectively based in
Corvallis, OR. The lively, upbeat blend of traditional and
modern Irish, Oi!, and punk will make you raise your fist and
down a pint. They provide a well-rounded and original sound that
delivers a soothing, danceable punch that can only be described
as Stout Irish Music!

This song is a favorite of mine, and I've heard soo many
different versions of it, but never like this. It's fast anxious,
full of energy, just what you might expect from a band that
likens themselves to the Dropkick Murphys. And of course, once
you get past the ragingly intense drinking song, you've got a
killer jig.

4. Tears for Beers - "Ye Jacobites By Name"
http://mp3.com/TearsForBeers?cm
=================================================

Tears for Beers has been around for a while. They got their
start nearly twelve years ago playing traditional Celtic music
with modern influences. They achieved wonderful success and
are now one of the most popular Celtic bands in Germany.

In the golden days of MP3.com, "Ye Jacobites By Name", climbed to
#1 on the Celtic charts. The song spent many subsequent days back
at the top of the charts and for good reason. Tears for Beers has
a lot of great music (see my past reviews), but in my opinion,
this is by far the best recorded song to date! The arrangement is
well done and includes some blazing fiddle work and ripping
bagpipes.
